Last place I worked at had this for mortgagecels (ie responsible, normal people with a positive net worth):

If one had to relocate to accept the job:

1. They would buy your house from you for the price it was going to list at immediately. So the owner got full value, no commissions to pay out.
2. They would completely pay for your movers. (not applicable for rentcels as movers won't put that dirty hand-me-down couch shaped thing or the mattress sitting on the floor that looks like it was pulled from a back alley into their trunk).
3. Pay rent for a high end condo for 6 months to allow the new employee to look around and determine the best place to buy a house.
4. Give a cash signing bonus for the final moving and miscellaneous expenses.

Just lol if you are not important enough to have your new employer do that for you.
