Yes, most Christians believe in an immaterial aspect of reality, which would include things like demons. The denial of an immaterial aspect of reality would contradict the existence of the soul, angels and even God himself.

How do religions answer it?

Probably something like - God is the beginning and end. You aren't supposed to use logic or reason. Some things are beyond human logic and if their is a God, he would be beyond human logic.

Your 2nd question is also questioning God's logic, which is something we are incapable of.

Both not great questions at all. Because you are asking questions to things nobody will ever have a solid answer for.

I was the opposite. Raised in a strict God loving church family. It never really made sense to me but I went along with it.

Life taught me though, if there is a God, it's not the Christian one that loves his people. Lets be real, it's so much harder for some to get to heaven than others. Some have no chance.

For some people, just being born and living the life they are given is enough to get them into heaven according to the bible. Because they were born in the correct environment.

For most others, they have literally no chance to get to heaven. They will never accept 'God' because it simply wasn't an option for them, ever.

What about the people born to suffer? Born in a toxic/evil/abusive environment from day 1. These people don't have a chance either.

The message in the Bible is clear on this. Those born in a place where the gospel is not shared won’t likely get to heaven because they don’t know the “rules”. These societies or groups are doomed to ensure their own hell as a result of making bad decisions, or not resisting evil. This means, good is not inherent, like many believe. Good has to be taught. Good isn’t absent everywhere, but its because morals are taught through family and community.

THe results are clear; an individual who does not know God is more likely to commit evil, which means, both hell on earth and when they have died.

The left is in this position. They don’t know God, nor have a moral gauge, so they are more likely to commit evils as a result. It’s no different than someone not being taught what the answer to 2+2. It is not inherent to just know these things. This is a reason why western culture has brought more peace than any other society in history. Even if you look back to the Egyptians, they had gods that they believed would punish them on earth and the afterlife if they didn’t act a certain way. It’s where the “fear of God” plays in. If you don’t fear God, then what you do fear will be either arbitrary, and/or be irrelevant when a real threat comes and you don’t have the ability to stand up to it. Fearing God more than many means standing up to ANY adversary. When Egypt fell, it was because they gave up on their gods and began to fear death itself, which then lead to the fear of man. The Lament of Hermes outlines this, if you want to read an amazingly profound poem

Under Stalin, Solzhenitsyn said that the most difficult people for Stalin’s regime to coerce were the religious groups, save for the Catholics. Catholics depend too much on collectivism, and once the radicals infiltrated the Catholic Church, the rest of the church followed without question. This is why Protestants believe that each individuals salvation is their own, and not to be determined by anyone else, not even a priest.

So again, if you don’t know the rules of God and the way of Christ, then how will one know what is good and what is evil? They won’t, so they will fall prey to evil and even commit evil. Being ignorant doesn’t absolve one of sin. Evil is still evil. Good is still good. A person is still doing evil and still doin good, but they might not know the difference. Do criminals go unpunished for being ignorant of the law? Is rape still not rape? Is murder still not murder? Is a dictatorship not evil if people didn’t know?

Yeah. I'm Muslim so probably different but in Islam, Allah will never punish anyone without that person getting a message. It's a valid question - say people are cut off civilization and is it fair for them to just be punished? Allah is not unjust in this manner whatsoever.

Quran 17:15
Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.

No one knows the answer to the first question. The Bible does not tell us and none of us were there.

The answers to the second question for why humans were created are as follows:

The main purpose:
To bring Glory to God (Isiah 43:7)

How we fulfill that purpose:
-Multiply be Fruitful and populate the earth with the purpose of having dominion over the earth and animals - (Genesis 1:26-30)

Believing in the super natural is an essential component of spirituality. It baselines the concept of our souls, of an existence we cannot comprehend at this moment.

Human beings are only capable of seeing a very narrow range of wavelengths and hearing a narrow range of frequencies - there are layers of existence that are all around that we cannot SEE OR HEAR, but are there nonetheless.

Our angels battle demons all around us and we have no idea.

You cannot see radio signals, or hear frequencies that a dog, a bat, a dolphin, or an elephant can - do you deny they exist?

You are making claims with certainty that you cannot make - and ridicule anyone who considers even the possibility of otherwise. You have limited yourself in so many ways because your HATE AND PRIDE are what you are enslaved by. You hate anything that is alien to you, and far too proud to consider another way of looking at things.

You don't realize it but you are leagues below where you think you actually are in terms of understanding theological conclusions.

God is never described as anything, and i dont think we can comprehend what God is anymore than we can understand how something originated from nothing and created space and everything ever expanding.

I think all religions were created by men trying to make the world a better place in a time when enough people who were being persecuted believed significant change needed to be made to save humanity.

Everything else is just things we make up to try and explain that which we do not and probably can not understand.

You really only have two choice for creation of everything in our universe.

We know that there was a beginning to our existence the question is how. You have the Creator / God or Spontaneous Emergence (matter had to not only spontaneously appear out of nothing but also had to put itself into motion).

I choose to believe God is and always has been there with no beginning no end. He created us and our universe. This whole life is on the balance of limiting yourself from over indulgence and practicing self mindful control. IMO that means we need to live right to please our creator. Living out of balance or in excess will lead to depression and self destruction.

He created us out of love. Same reason we create children and have a love for them that we will never have for anything else.

1) Infinite regress means something exists whether infinite or permanent. Call this whatever you want.

2) Most reverse engineer an idea of social integrity to explain good spirit, which is consistent with our universe, created or not.

You could almost consider "God" a physics term, more meta - physics about human life this way.

I agree and thats why I think God could be all we can not explain or something else entirely we cant comprehend. I mean yes there is a probability particles over time came to such a chance that conscious beings who could understand what particles were would exist, but what is the true probability of such an occurrence and can we even comprehend that or how much time had to pass for this probability to occur? How many almost occurrences were there/are there that still exist, how many evolved ones? If we cant comprehend the time we can't comprehend the space or dimensions.

For us to even think we can link our existence back to an omnipotent being who sent forth a son to guide us is whimsical.

Then let me ask you this.

How did something come from nothing? The oppositional theory to creationism cannot be answered within those two questions, yet people believe in it without question.

Mmm Eastern Orthodoxy has the best answer

“You can’t define divinity”

Basically humans are too out of touch and too limited to understand god or how god works or we ruin it every time we try. It’s beyond us.

We have the best instructions we can get and even how it’s presented is questionable simply from the human filter it goes through. But I do believe in signs of divinity in daily life if you can look with the right perspective

Very good point and analysis. I used to be atheist/agnostic and said I never saw divinity. Now I see it all the time. I just never looked for it or was open to it. Now my frequency is tapped into something where I experience synchronicities constantly.

The funny thing is though that creationism is the only thing that explains the world. Scientism tries but fails. It is a dead end. It can't touch reality. It is nothing but a guess by man. It tells you nothing about good and evil. It tells you nothing about inherent feelings or the feeling of spirit.

I do not know. I have never witnessed anything 'come from nothing' before. Then again I havent seen or heard from a reputable source of a God creating anything either.

I made this thread to understand how religions approach to this subject. Most religious people I know irl cant go any further than "if you dont believe at least respect it" when questioned

If God doesn’t exist, then we are all screwed. Its better to believe he’s real than the alternative. Imagine hundreds of millions of people with no hope and no moral values.

You know all the purple hairs you keep hearing about? Imagine a world of those people. Narcissistic nihilists who are trying to make the world notice them.

Exactly. That's the point. You don't know. However, we are here. Right?

What makes more sense? I'll give the two most basic points of view on which is thought to be our life.
1. Creationism. All powerful God that created us and our reality as we know it in its image.
2. Some random explosion thing that created something that within an unbelievable amount of time evolved stardust into human life, the eyeball, our world, and somehow explains the perfect nature of our earth.

The only one of those two that has sense to it is creationism. No matter how much someone screams sky daddy or spaghetti monster it will not undermine the baseline idea of creationism vs. theory of evolution/big bang. Creationism explains all areas of life. The opposing view that was made up in the 1800s explains nothing. It tries to explain some random idea that we evolved from stardust and they use time that is not comprehendible to promote how it worked.

This is why I had to accept creationism and then take the time to actually delve into it. When you actually give it a chance you start to realize the truth in it that is too hard to deny.

At the end of the day it comes down to faith. Do you have faith in a God or do you have faith in a man made sci fi theory. I know which one I ended up choosing. It's a journey at the end of the day and you will always have questions and need to question. Religion always accepts questioning. Science does not.

My issue was always the people within religion. It can be used for evil and it kept me away from it for so long. Even right now I am having a crisis of identity because of how corrupted man has become despite ploying as a (insert religion here) without actively living within it.

That way of thinking is quite a mistake. Living under false terms for your period of existence when you could have been living 100% on your OWN terms of enjoying life to the fullest and NOTHING else mattering, is probably the MOST significant different and you are passing it off as the most insignificant and might as well just pick one or the other.

Either way find what you truly believe in 100% with all the research and affirmation you could possibly ever need to be convinced your decision is right.

Also a narcissistic nihilist would not try to make the world notice them, unless they were not truly a nihilist because fame is one of the most useless constructs to a nihilist.

Post modernism and activism would like a word.
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

To answer OPs questions from an Islamic point of view

1) The Arab Pagans asked Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) the question: who is this God you talk about? Then this chapter was revealed.

Quran 112
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “He is Allah—One ˹and Indivisible˺;
Allah—the Sustainer ˹needed by all˺.
He has never had offspring, nor was He born.
And there is none comparable to Him.”

So, to ask who created the uncreated isn't really rational in Islam.

2) No; not boredom or whatnot. The view in Islam is actually reversed; Allah is not in need of his creation and it's the other way around and we need Allah.

Quran 29:6
And whoever strives ˹in Allah’s cause˺, only does so for their own good. Surely Allah is not in need of ˹any of˺ His creation.

Yeah I agree with this - probably to add more on it from an Islamic point.

If you don't have certainty on a creator, you will not be certain of anything. The same questioners denying a God also themselves have absolutely no answer. Even Pharoah asked Prophet Moses (Peace Be Upon Him) the question on who is this God you talk about?
Quran 26:23-24
Pharaoh asked, “And what is ‘the Lord of all worlds?”
Moses replied, “˹He is˺ the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, if only you had certainty.”

Irrational to say something comes from nothing
1) nothing created you (nothing is not even a thing, let alone that possess knowledge, ability and a will...we can observe the universe has laws that it clearly follows)
2) you created yourself (but if I'm already existing, doesn't make sense to create myself)
3) my parents gave me life (so when you die, ask them to bring you back a second time)

Quran 52:35-36
Or were they created by nothing, or are they their own creators?
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no firm belief ˹in Allah˺.
2:136
Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

"God was always around" isnt a good answer. If he can then so can anything else which would refute the "everything needs a creator" theory of Abrahamic religions.

That answer is like saying "God is legit because Torah, Qoran whatever says so" . So we are supposed to believe in a book that is supposedly sent by a God that I dont believe in?

2) Why did he create humans, or anything at all?

He is the all seeing, all knowing above feelings/ emotions being, why would he need to create anything? Loneliness? Boredom? Those are humanly feeling allright.
God is a computer created by an extinct race of beings. He created this universe because he was programmed to do this.
