First thing we need to do is get rid of right vs. left, Republican vs. Democrat, conservative vs. liberal
Most of you have 0 brain cells to actually evaluate a candidate on all of his positions and default to whatever word the media uses to describe them.
People should be forced to research how all candidates position themselves on topics and stop relying on these shortcuts to say “hurr durr democrats are dumb and I’m conservative and this guy on the ballot is labeled Republican…. Check!!” (And vice versa for liberals)
#1 problem in politics is this delineation we have that you’re on one side or another. In reality I bet most of us are neither and fall somewhere in the middle.
You’d also see a lot more candidates being honest where they stand on topics if we did this too instead of trying to fit the mold of one extreme or another and buy themselves voters because they know the current structure herds people into one camp or another like retards.
If someone wants to start a new country and ignore these labels when it comes to constructing your government you’ll be in world power within 50 years while everyone else just runs in circles chasing their tails bashing the other side every 4 years.

As a person with experience traveling in Brazil during both administrations, the country was in much better shape under Bolsonaro. Way safer and more well controlled. I'm confident everything will go completely to chit again.

The majority of regions [4 out of 5] and states [16 out of 27] went to Bolsonaro, not Lula.
Imagine if, say, only the northeast region of the US had a majority vote for Clinton while the rest of the US had a majority of votes for Trump. It seems like that is the equivalent of how polarizing this result is in Brazil.
