Shah Jahan‘s Islam is pretty far from Islam in Iran in 1980, which is pretty far from Islam in the Uyghurs community today, etc. I mean, Al Queda, the Taliban and ISIS can’t even get along, and they are all fundamentalists from the same time period.

Modern day Christianity is Paulism that worships a three headed God that sings songs like "Fill me up Jesus" and has rockbands. No one can even define Christianity. Who's right?
Islam is literally the simplest form of truth. The Quran is the word of God and actually has the evidence to back it up. It was not lost in translation, changed, etc. It's a hard pill to swallow and actually bothers me quite a bit, but the Quran is a guidebook. The Bible is a story book.

Never in my life would I expect to start turning towards Islam. The spell was broken years ago from the typical western ideas on what Islam was, but to do deep research into Christianity vs. Islam led me to have to admit that Islam...is the truth. Christianity and the bible have a lot of beauty and so much truth and reverence, but the foundation is faulty. I had no idea Orthodoxy believe in the trinity or that most Christians believed in a triune God. I was raised on 1 God as Christian. Orthodoxy has so much truth and beauty too.
Tbh, culturally accepting Islam is a huge hang up for me to try and balance if I go through with this at some point. But hard to turn away from so much truth.
I'd say at my age now this one of the most powerful and daunting decisions I have been wrestling with in my life. The idea of accepting Christianity because it culturally makes sense and there is a lot of truth, but overlook some of the inconsistencies and false teachings....Or go against my cultural roots towards the almost undeniable truth at this point and go towards Islam. I honestly cannot believe how horribly and vehemently I was propagandized by western culture about Islam.
Inb4 miscers say I'm going towards an evil religion of peedo's, terrorists, and suppression.

Quran 2:170
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?
Quran 2:91-92
When it is said to them: “Believe in what Allah has revealed,” they reply, “We only believe in what was sent down to us,” and they deny what came afterwards, though it is the truth confirming their own Scriptures! Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Why then did you kill Allah’s prophets before, if you are ˹truly˺ believers?”
Indeed, Moses came to you with clear proofs, then you worshipped the calf in his absence, acting wrongfully.
And you don't lose Jesus brah - he is beloved to us..one of the mighty messengers of Allah and from the five highest messengers. Prophet Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Them All).
Edit
And yeah, it hasn't been changed. Millions of Muslims have memorized the entire book (600 pages) in the Arabic language when they don't even speak Arabic. Reciting in prayers everyday.
2:136
Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

Maccabbess?
OP, why would you quote that book when there are so many verses in the other non-controversial verses. (basically books that are common in the christian, catholic, jewish bible).

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

I don’t feel these differences devalue the religion as a whole, in fact, they probably make it more interesting. And as you stated, many other major religions are not as united as Islam is as a whole. That is something I’ve noted. Most disagreements are on minor things, like how to interpret Hadith.
