I don't even want to think of all the times I have been one of the simps in the text messages. I used to advocate for online dating and text game like 10 years ago, but no chance in hell I would be doing that now. You just have no way of standing out anymore if you go that route because everyone is doing it.

There are many desperate guys out there. Every mediocre woman with some kind of slight internet presence has dozens upon dozens of guys trying to get to her. One of my wife's friends got out of a long 10 year relationship and had a really hard time moving forward at her age and position in life. It took her over a year to even begin consider dating and she had never used a dating app. She'd met this ex of hers in college, which is a normal organic way of meeting and forming a romantic relationship with another human being, but seeing that dating apps are in everyone's social consciousness these days, she decided to try one of them. She deleted it after a few weeks and showed us what was happening. Mind you, she's an average girl. Nice, sweet, but a strong 5/10. She had hundreds of desperate, horny, beta guys whiteknighting the ever loving schit out of her. So much so that she just deleted it outright because it was too ridiculous. She eventually met a guy at her new job and it's apparently going well and they're about to move in together.

TLDR: It must actually be a nightmare for a woman who just wants a loving relationship to be on something like a dating app. But many people here are so mentally damaged they don't see it that way.
