Meh- I’ve talked to him about it before - I really don’t care if he’s in a program or not- it won’t add or take away his credibility regardless.

If he wants to earn intellectual credibility on this forum , he would have to do so by the post he generates.

So far he hasn’t really done so- even compared to the more intellectual liberal posters here.

verification of being in a phd program will be an indication he is capable of completing task at most- and a little indication he can get close to the baseline reasoning skills needed.



I’ve also told him this - if he is in one - I’m pretty damn proud of him - it’s an amazing achievement for someone with obvious learning disabilities to accomplish that.

It’s a good story not to let handicaps keeps you down- burst through the obstacles.


The bigger question would be - after the fact will he actually be able to function in society? I’m doubtful he can pull that off.

Maybe for a special-needs person like himself - perpetual lifetime academia is the best solution.
