I have shared things from time to time. I think the world now is even more ripe with opportunity for the right type of individuals. I dont think every person is the type of person to go on their own. Nothing good or bad, but you have to have the right mindset. I am a college drop out, but know more about most things than any person I meet. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and continually, even to this day search to understand pretty much anything I come across. To me, understanding 'why' is just as important as acknowledging somethings existence.

I also am my own biggest critic, and I demand that pretty much anything I do, it must be my best. Even if people dont ask for my best, I have to answer to myself in the end and I always did it. Over the years this has always served me well and people notice. It has led to many opportunities that would have never existed. Even to this day. I recently landed a new client. They approached me because they saw some other work I had done. They asked me to do something for them and I took it on myself to WAY over exceed their expectations. I did so without any asking as I felt like there was so much more that could be done and be beneficial for their new project. I did not charge them, but sent them what I had done with the explanation that I was inspired to do more because I would rather show them the possibilities vs telling them what was possible. Long story short, I am now getting a contract on a job 5x larger than the orignal they had asked for my help with from them. It does not always happen that way, but I still to this day approach the world with this attitude.

Big picture, I dont believe in bad debt. I have minimized carrying any debt my entire life. In my 20's I had an apartment with no furniture except a bed I made out of 2x10 and I ate my breakfast at a old school arm chair that I was given for helping someone clear a storage unit out. My TV was on a few milk crates. (100% serious). I have always spent within my limits on things. Looking back I dont know that everyone could follow this. Heck, I am not even sure I could do it again. But investing in myself has always yielded the biggest results.

Knowing what I know now, I would have focused on real estate sooner. I spent many years 'hustling' from one contract to the next. For years and years. I had to provide for my employees and was always looking for the next job. But I wished I had focused on something more sustainable. It is only the crash of the real estate market that opened my eyes to the potential. I didnt have a choice really. There was no work to be had any longer.

I am 50 and even now looking for those new opportunities. But for young people, the 'gig' economy offers tons of opportunities if you are a person that car lead your own way. If you have a skill set that others value. But it takes the right person to take this path and it is not for everyone. I have not had a 'boss' since I was 23. I just wanted to take a ball and run with it. I did not want people telling me how to do something, I just wanted to know what needed to be done and I would do it my way.

But some are not wired like that and that is OK. I have two kids. One is like me and one is more like my wife. One marches to their own beat, and the other works better in an organized system with boundaries, and rules pre-defined. If that is your type of personality, look for a field where you can excel on your own merit. Move to a RED state and get as far away from Unions as you can. Unions protect the average worker. But they hold back those who are driven from achieving their potential AND being rewarded for it. Dont be afraid to play without a net. Especially when you are young. Take BIG risks if you think it is right. I have had to go 'all in' many times in my life. But I did it with the confidence in myself that I was making the right decision.


Not sure if any of that helps....but that is what I would tell someone younger. Oh yea....I will share more later, but I dont think going in debt for a 4 year college is worth it unless you have a pre-determined professional field in mind and it requires it.

Production numbers for the Super Series are not all that high. Maybe you see quite a bit in the UK, but McLaren production is about 1/2 that of Ferrari and Lambo. The super series makes up about 25% of that, and then they are dispersed world wide. Here in the US, you see quite a few lambos and ferrari for every McLaren. But it is not rarity that makes them cool. This might be one of the most incredible cars I have ever driven. I could go on about the technology of the car. That is a double edged sword. But the 720s pretty much has one of the most advanced suspensions ever. It is incredible.

Mine is not exactly stock either. It is pushing close to 1000hp, so that is probably not exciting to you, but this is the first car that has scared me in quite sometime.

My house is becoming the second British Invasion. I now have the McLaren and 2 lotus. (did not even do it on purpose! )

In all seriousness. Have you ever driven a 720? Hard to imagine anyone not finding the car exciting as hell to drive. It is really amazing.

Mirin the S2k in the garage.

I’ve heard left and the right the 720 will beat just about anything you may encounter on the road, aside from those heavily tuned. Great choice, solid color. Should be a hit at your local CnC meetups.

Small world. When I bought my S2000, I almost got a Lotus Elise instead. Still regret that, but do still do own the S2K.

Heck yea. We got some S2K fans in the house! Funny thing is I had never driven one before we got this for my son. I was trying to figure out what car to get him. He wanted a manual car. The S2K is such a drivers car. I was not planning on getting him one, but a perfect one came up for sale locally and it was too good to turn down. He has not even got a license yet, but it was too good to turn down such a clean car when it popped up. Essentially a 2 owner. 1st owner owned it most of it's life. Did all the maintenance at Honda dealer, every 3000mi etc. 2nd owner drove it for a year. Put coil overs on it, wheels and a cold air intake. (meaning it was not butchered up and molested). Funny but the car has won me over and I can now see why they have such a cult following.

My buddy has one which is supercharged and he turned it into a track car. Dont think we will go that route with his. Just keep it an enjoyable driver. When and if he grows out of it, I am sure someone would be happy to have it. It is kinda a silly first car, but it is surly something he can enjoy. It is enough car to have fun, but not crazy amounts of power...etc.

Its an AP1 and I enjoy the higher revving motor. I sometimes get lost thinking about modding it more, but we are so busy with other projects that we likely wont do that.

The elise makes the S2k seem big and heavy. The elise stock is 800lbs lighter. Our wide body is another 70lbs lighter than stock. The S2k is a MUCH better street car and probably the perfect balance if you wanted a car to serve double duty. The Elise is not good for much other than fun driving. It would not be something I would ever want to attempt to daily! The S2K is refined enough to do that just fine.
