The market value of the bank's stock has little to do with it's solvency. The value of it's investments and deposits do.

No argument from me. A UK YT guy I watch has made two videos now claiming that people in Europe are also nervous about the stability of their banks and are withdrawing funds, but that it isn't being reported in their press.

You know how we have people making statements that our banks are safe? Seems that is happening there also.

German banking system is robust - supervisor
BERLIN, March 15 (Reuters) - Germany's financial supervisory authority (BaFin) sees no direct risk of contagion for the German financial system from what it called the "the problems of strongly technology-oriented American banks", a BaFin spokesperson said on Wednesday.

"However, we continue to keep an eye on market developments and take them into account as part of our ongoing supervision," the spokesperson said in a statement.

"Our main focus is currently on some smaller banks with little surplus capital and increased interest rate risks - we are closely monitoring these institutions," the spokesperson added. "So far, it appears that the German banking system is robust and could digest the impact of higher interest rates."

My understanding is that the relatively fast movement of interest rates has been creating major challenges for multiple financial institutions; the first possibly having been the Bank of England acting to save pensions back in September of 2022.

JP morgan has 3.3 trillion dollars under management. If they go insolvent everyone is fuked
Additionally the big 4 banks are held to a higher standard, smaller banks are allowed to add back unrecognized losses on investments to their leverage calculations. The big 4 are not.

Remember, this was all because of covid policies to remove Trump.

Banks are failing because of their investments in bonds.

Bond market is failing because of rampant inflation.

Rampant inflation was because shutting down the world economy was the only way to remove Trump from office.

You get 100 Biden Coins pegged at $1USD. Cash is no longer worth the paper it’s printed on. All they have to do is keep printing and it’s worthless. Which is what they are doing now anyway.

It’s all part of the plan.

Is anyone surprised at this point?

As chatter continues to build of some bailout for First Republic Bank this week, as the company's share price has collapsed, The Wall Street Journal reports that top execs at the bank sold millions of dollars of company stock in the last two months... but did not report the sales to SEC.

Here is a fun fact that I looked up and sent to someone today, that several countries (Turkey being the top) have been purchasing tons and tons of Gold:

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/...conomy-global/

Also, the bank collapse is done to user in CBDC's, this should no longer be considered a 'conspiracy theory' but there is an EO:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-...igital-assets/

Also, the pavement of the way to CBDC's here in the US:https://www.federalreserve.gov/payme...dnow_about.htm

I mean is it reverse psychology at this point?

Let's tell them everything is fine.

"But if we keep saying everything is fine, won't that make people think that everything is NOT fine?"

Yes.

So just read about this. Seems totally organic, right? I'm sure these TBTF banks decided to do this out of the kindness of their hearts.
CNBC's David Faber is reporting that the large banks are planning - as a group - to deposit around $20 billion of their own cash with First Republic.

JPMorgan, Citigroup, BofA, and Wells Fargo are among the banks in talsk over the despoit of their cash into First Republic. Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are also reportedly involved along with US Bancorp and PNC Financial Services.
