Id love to lift it all I'd have to do is gain 100lbs, wrap my body in materials that add 400lbs to my squat and waddle onto a platform while a bunch of over the hill bloated men yell while thrasher metal plays in the background and we fetishize nose bleeds. Oh and the last part, decrease the range of motion of the lift by 50% that way its less of a muscular strength display and more of a what can by body(materials wrapped around my body) withstand stabalizing as I move 7 inches.

You have middle of the pack lifts at 220 raw, except that bench, mirin. You have a higher squat than deadlift...I smell a high squat. People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. I squat and deadlift more than you raw at 40 pounds lighter, now what? Is my opinion suddenly justified?

And thats the reason Im commenting. Because the numbers are being presented as apples to apples, but its apples to oranges. See thread title if you dont believe me. OP has diminished his friends accomplishments by not including the equipped part. Now the viewer feels decieved instead of impressed.

They can lift heavier weight, which also has heavier consequences when injury occurs, so not sure where you are going with that. Also no one squats 600lbs raw, then put on a suit to squat 700lbs for atheletic performence. They would just squat 500lbs for more reps if they wanted a higher load.

The thread title says it all. Its not a 1000lbs squat. It is a 1000lb equipped high squat. Still crazy a 18 year old can stand with that on his shoulders. Im not saying its unimpressive, Im saying its false advertisment that dimisnishes the achievement.

Anyone not indoctrinated in this niche sub set of a sub set of lifting looks at this and cringes, for good reason. No hate on the kid, no hate on OP, extreme hate for changing the standards of established lifting techniques to add more weight on the bar. They will literally hold meets in gravity chambers to get another 100lbs. Its an ego thing that undercuts the bank that raw lifting has created.
I choose to lift in gear. You choose to use drugs to artificially get stronger. Raw has it's own sport, we have our own sport. I don't care if you don't like it.

Yes everyone is welcome, we have an opening Christian blessing at every meet and everything.

Drug abuse probably contributed more to that than anything. They also rarely lifted in gear outside of meets.

I assume when I post anything people know I'm talking about geared lifting. Idgaf about raw lifting for the most part, but I don't **** on it either. Everyone can do whatever they want.

I mean, if anyone thought a 220lb 17 year old squatted 1000 raw it's not my fault they're an idiot. It's only been done by 23 people ever, and only by one person under 300 lbs.
I'm not DrewDarden

I once saw a video of a retarded kid “squat” 1000 lbs, but he didn’t use a gay suit to do it, he just did it with pure retardation. I bet it was a deeper squat than the squat the OP claims his roided-up little gay retard buddies can do.
