If it even COULD reduce global temperatures it would have to be global meaning including the rich dirtbags with their private jets, mega yachts and multiple homes + the developing world which is so resource hungry attempting to achieve a first world standard of living.
It's a scam.
If it was real no one would want to pay a dime for beachfront property. Heck insurance companies would refuse to insure said property, and the government would tell people to move inland because the taxpayers will no longer pay for "climate change related disasters which could be reasonably avoided".
Ditto for the western US. Tell everyone to GTFO of the desert because we can't afford to create the carbon necessary to maintain people there in a comfortable manner and all the water is drying up anyway.

I probably wasn't clear enough in the OP. I know the "climate is changing" but I don't believe "climate change", as in the government version of it.

Between Greenland GRIP studies and the work in Antarctica ice core oxygen isotope analysis has shown the global average temperature has swung up and down in an 8-10 degree band in the Holoscene era. The impact of this on ocean currents, the jet stream, and other climate cycles can cause even more drastic changes in isolated locations.
Climate is not static, the change is real. Humans can contribute with C02 and 40 micron atmospheric carbon insolation.
There is also a real push to exaggerate anthropomorphic influence, catastrophize the impact, and make saviour claims that we can control the global temperature like a thermostat by controlling carbon. Control of carbon is control of human consumption, there is too much money and power involved in the discussion to trust anyone's motives at face value.

Yes because the alternative: that literally every scientist and every world government is working together (even Russia and the US) to do this just to screw big oil (when Russia is itself a petro state) is fuking LOL
Taxing is only part of it, and it's the big people that abuse this the most. They are the ones who pay the idiots to brainwash you that it isn't a problem btw.
No fuking chit.
No. The scam is a bunch of uneducated hick Americans thinking they know physics.
It's not like the property is going to be underwater or washed away. We have ways of dealing with things like that. It's the fact that huge parts of the world might become temporarily uninhabitable in certain periods. It's the fact that crops may die off. It's the mass migration. It's the chaos and disruption to the food web. It's the damage to the economy and ensuing fuking wars. It's the drought. There are tons of problems.
You say GTFO of the desert. Go look at the regions that could be strongly affected by drought. You literally live in one of them dipchit.

The problem lies with being told this is a new phenomenon caused by man, and carbon production. (natural and manmade)
What's offensive is being told that only surrender of freedoms and the obfuscation of money will fix it.
Like someone else posted earlier, if the people claiming man made climate change really believed it was happening, they would not be living the lifestyles they currently live.
When they give up their mansions and private jets, maybe I'll think about taking them serious. But probably not.

What fake scientists are saying is speculation and there's been endless speculation about this topic since the 70s. It has also changed a lot, as I explained in my OP, so the credibility of science is very limited or invalid.
What is true is that the climate has gotten warming and that is fitting with the multitude of different climate the Earth has experienced, as explained by more credible science.

[QUOTE=JT11RTR post_id=1680745093]Just like how we heard the ozone layer was disappearing in the early 90s. We still have something wonky going on with ozone.

So far as I can tell "the science" may initiated by some actual research. If "the science" supports a story that it will be useful to promote then that science becomes "settled science" and anyone who questions it or tries to poke holes in it will be ridiculed and won't get funding for their research.
We have been told lots of stuff was "bad" or is "good" depending on who profits.
- animal fats are bad says the vegetable oils industry
- fat is bad, not sugar, says the sugar industry
- HFCS is no different from table sugar say the corn farmers
When it comes to global cooling/global warming/climate change [I have lived through all 3 of these scary stories now] there should be some rational evaluation:
- is this a thing that is actually happening?
- are we dead certain about what mechanism is causing this thing to happen?
- can we interrupt this mechanism? [is it possible? can we get enough cooperation?]
- should we in fact do so?
- what are the other effects the acts of interruption may have?
You don't have to be a physicist or a chemist to believe that human climate manipulation:
- may not be able to gain enough support
- may be impossible
- may be foolish
