Get a Stanley fat max tape measure. I have tried them all and it’s by far the longest lasting.

I did scaffolding which is pretty much framing/carpentry mixed with some legos before I did electrical

Yes buy a tape , a real hammer (not a 12 oz husky hammer) , a speed square , a tor**** level and a Milwaukee screw gun.

You should be GTG for most of the work they’ll have you doing the first few years.

Also make sure you have plenty of construction pencils on hand in case you can’t use sharpies for whatever stupid reason (shouldn’t be a issue for framing unless you’re doing metal T grid but still).
