The story is what I remember least about Dragon's Dogma. What I remember most is how that glorious sunlight gets ruined postgame.

Hundreds of hours of gameplay, open world, tons of character build strategies, and the controls are amazing. I would put the controls above Skyrim in some situations. I rate games that have great controller response and gameplay very high on my lists. I’ve played countless games that I thought were chit because of controls.

The game just felt very unique and fresh. I will admit, end game feels a bit grindy, but I enjoyed it for many hours. The game does a great job balancing feeling powerful as you level, but still gives you challenges regardless of your level. Many games, once you reach a certain level, its just god mode and feels too easy and there is nothing left to do that feels like progression.

Not to mention the companion system was very unique too. Once you level up one character, you can then use the companion to help your alts, which is awesome. It makes additional play throughs a little smoother and fun.

I think its a highly underrated and lesser known game that a lot of folks would love if they knew about it. And let’s be honest, Dragon’s Dogma was released in 2012, but because it didn’t have the immense player base that, say, Skyrim has/had, they didn’t have the support to keep updating over, and over, and over again..

Man idk really. My list is pretty cringe, I haven't been into single player stuff much over the years.

No particular order. Some are Co op, but I played through solo.

Borderlands 2 (and 3, yeah I said it)

Dying light + the following dlc - I just love this game and played off and on for years

Dead rising - all of them really but some were Def better then others

Titanfall 2 campaign - most slept on single player experience in all of gaming, you must try this game

Shadow warrior 2 - second most slept on single player experience in all of gaming, you really should try this game


Honorable mention:

Robo recall in VR. This game is fun as chit and has super fun mods as well.
