It's not worth it to escalate confrontations with low IQ, low inhibition people, because sometimes their capacity for violence and stupidity is far higher than yours.
I don't know whether this guy is dangerous or not, but as a rule it's sensible to back down from situations where somebody is being irrationally confrontational, as in this case.

If your body language displays that that youre not wanting to engage in a fight, and you give the person multiple chances to leave before defending yourself, then that works highly in your favour. For example you can put your hands forward and tell them to keep their distance and once the person advances towards you a few times you have the right to defend (they will see this clearly on CCTV who the aggressor is and if he attacks you first thats even better for you)
Nobody is saying you have to break this dudes jaw the moment he raises his voice, just don’t act like a chump.
