Pre everyone going WFH h1b shilling was exactly the same. How many times have you heard on the news Americans can't do math, therefore we have to import a bunch of people via h1b? 100% total scam.

You could easily train Americans to do programming jobs, most don't even require all that much math. All the Indians I saw brought over were in the same boat as Americans starting off, they didn't know how to do anything. No offence to any Indians, I don't blame them for that, everyone's trying to make the most of their lives, but the pretense under which that whole thing is done is a lie.

These are cushy well paying jobs companies are keeping Americans from getting.

One of the reasons employers like them is because they can abuse the chit out of them and ask them to work insane hours

An Ameribrah can start an engineering job at about ~$70k in middle America with a bachelor's degree, or spend 2 years in grad school, get a masters and start at ~$80k. The juice isn't worth the squeeze, so none of them go to grad school.

Meanwhile, ****** can get a US student visa if he comes here for a masters, so engineering grad classes are like 90% Pajeetmaxxers.

If you raised wages to $150k starting with a masters, you'd have more Ameribrahs than you know what to do with. But ****** offers a form of wage suppression for high-skill STEM labor.

I dropped out of a master's in CS as soon as I got a job because of that too lol

From what I was told, getting the MS wouldn't help my prospects at all. I was hired with a guy who had a master's degree and we were making the same thing.

All I have to say is congrats to you WFH guys. Really wish I learned a skill that I could use and get a job like that instead of what I do.

I drive over an hour to work every day. Get there 8-9am. From there I usually don't get out of there until near 7pm, sometimes later. I often don't take a lunch because I can't catch a break. I have kind of a multiple role job. I have to handle so many roles, while handling other roles.

Nah. I had a job working in an office space where I wasn't qualified to do really anything. It was the worst years of my life just going in and killing eight plus hours a day. I finally got transfered to an office where I actually had work and man, my mood just flipped. I felt happy. and satisfied in life. No clue how you guys do this stuff or do the "quiet quitting" or whatever it's called.

Have been WFHing since march 2020 and its one of the best things that have happened for me personally. I WFH 4 days a week and go in to the office once per week but and even that day i leave early around lunch time. I like being in the office, but being in the office 8 hours everyday was torture and tiring. WFH saves so much time, money and stress. I will never go back to being in the office everyday

I'm thinking I should probably consider getting a job like this until the Real Estate market picks back up. Would be nice to have something to do for like 15 hours per week, and I'm sure I can find a way to earn $100k. Could probably still do Real Estate and keep the job in the future if I wanted.

Seems like the correct level of hustle needed to get ahead during the next couple years.

Been like this for me since 2018 or so.

Last year I did absolutely nothing and my manager found out. Didn't fire me. As a matter of fact, I did one high impact project and showed some improvement after he found out, and I got a $15k bonus a month ago.

I'm just waiting for a layoff situation at this point, they'll give me a nice severance package and I can find another job pretty easily.

Perks of working in an industry with a shortage of talent I suppose.

we just started a ticket system at my job but the problem is I'm getting a fuk ton of tickets all the time now.
