That was the case when I was training for strength. Each milestone, some taking YEARS to work towards, become meaningless after you break them.
Legs are tough for me. I have not squatted regularly in the past 5 years. I have tried many times, and I just dont think my lower back can take any longer. I will still try again, but I have resolved myself to the fact I will never push heavy weight again. All I do is leg press and extensions. Pathetic to say I have not even done any direct hammie work in 3-4 years.

OP looks better than 99% of steroid users, and better than 99.9999% men his age. If you dont see value in that, you are blinded by your own insecurities.

What's this? A miscer who lifts? Mirin the dedication. Fuark, you just reminded me that I'm closer to 50 than I am to 18. Time is a helluva drug. I was still in College like... 15 years ago? Might as well have been last year, lmao.

All cool guys. I have been around this board a decent amount of time. It comes with it's groups of 'fans'. They come and they go. Some MIGHT have even worked out once or twice, but most have long quit now. It just comes with the territory.
I get so much more satisfaction out of the cool interactions with people here. Back when I first came here, there was some that helped me so much. Most probably never knew it. But reading what they wrote inspired me. I truly dont think I could have done what I have without them. Almost all I now know about nutrition came from BB.com. IIFYM and flexible dieting. Guys like Layne Norton, Alan Aragon changed my life. Timberwolf truly opened my eyes to flexible dieting. Of course OG like IronWill was just always an inspiration. So many more. NONE I ever met in real life, changed my life.
I like to share when I can. Over the years, I have had a few who reached out to me and thanked me for helping them. It is truly humbling to think that you may have impacted someone else's life, even in a very small way. It makes the negative comments not really all that important. People love to b!tch and complain. Everyone has excuses and people like to tear down others. That is the easy thing. Looking at yourself in the mirror and recognizing that you and you alone are at fault for all the things you blame on externalities is when life gets real. AND the first step towards making progress and living the life YOU want. This not only applies to the gym, but life in general.
The gym is the great equalizer. We all fight the same battles. Life is not fair. Some are blessed with better training response than others, BUT we ALL can improve. It is when you quit worrying about what everyone else is doing, and concentrate on yourself, that you can find amazing clarity without the distractions that exist for most people. Again, another lesson that has given me strength in life outside the gym. Such a simple thing. Picking up heavy stuff for no good reason. Yes there is a beauty in that simplicity. No excuses. You can either lift it, or you cant. Failure is NOT a bad thing. It is part of each day and makes you stronger and more resistant in the end.
Today is Friday! Friday is always Pizza day in my house. Also my 'bro' workout day. Just a fun day for me to go in the gym and crank up music and have some fun. Hope you guys all have a good weekend. Monday comes around soon and it all starts back over again. No credit for time served. You still got to show up!

Its Monday again today.
Still gotta show up. All the distractions this thread took. People miss even the most simple message...even after all these years, you still got to show up!
If you have been slacking, then no better time than the present to pull it back on the rails!
See you all later in the gym!

How would you feel if your daughter ended up with a Tyrone Jogger?
Biggest differences I could see were dropping below 10% range and still holding mass. My non nattie experiences are kind of beginner level though and never had a desire to take things that would allow me progress, that I could never maintain on ACTUAL normal levels.
Nothing wrong with any choices others make. I am not knocking anyone who choses any route as long as they try to be honest about it and ESPECIALLY dont compete with true naturals in powerlifting.
Anyway....some cool things came out of this. Respect to the guys hitting reset today and showing up. At my age, I continually try to find things to get excited about. I like hearing about others and miss the gym environment. This place is still pretty cool sometimes and I appreciate some of the messages sent.
