they just added a guy who average 32ppg and is basically a threat from anywhere, teaming up with Giannis…

Giannis can draw attention on the inside and dish it out to dame when needed. Great fit.

Jrue Holiday is no scrub, but when Middleton is out all teams had to do is build a wall against Giannis and force jrue holiday to be hot which on some nights he's not. Dame is one of those guys that can create his own shot anywhere.

I just don't see how anyone beats the Bucks this year. It's literally a perfect starting lineup and a perfect star trio. Middleton as your #3 2 way wing is great, Dame as your #2 is insane, and Giannis is the best player in the league next to Joker. then you still got Lopez and Portis as GREAT role players. Connaughton, Crowder are solid depth guys. Kind of ruins the season tbh, I don't see how anyone beats them unless there are some injuries.

This team will EASILY EASILY win the East, like they will absolutely coast through that **** ass conference.

Dame should have moved on from Portland 3-4 years ago. Missed out on several peak years playing for that cursed franchise.

I bet Celtics fans are pretty pissed right now. Seems like all I heard for years was how much of a genius Ainge was (this was several years ago obviously) and how much draft capital/assets they had. Lot of good that did them lol.

idk who watched Wemby last night, but he looks like an absolute problem for the NBA even right now.

He's starting to get some confidence and when his teammates figure out how to feed him properly he's going to dominate. We just have to wait and see if his body holds up.

I haven't watched him in a full game, but I've been watching the highlights. I think his body will hold up. Skinny is bad in some ways (not as strong), but good in others (doesn't take as much of a pounding running and moving on the court). Plus, his game isn't predicated on athleticism, it's his height/length, although he his quick for his size.

I've seen enough I'm convinced he's going to be special.

Teams have figured out Davis easily, so possibly yes.

Loved seeing the Raptors play well, they have a really good core team that has zero superstars but could still be good enough for playoffs.

Wemby was nervous and had a hard time with fouls, plus they were playing him in the wrong spot for most of the game.

Celtics look scary good.

Bron's "minutes restriction" idea from the team lasted ONE game lol

It's sad that this Lakers team is still needing to be carried by a 39 yr old player.

no one is going to beat the Bucks. Dame and Giannis is a perfect combo and Middleton isn't even healthy yet. Season is cooked.

All the Laker fans take off?

Can't believe none of them showed up to talk up the Laker in-season tournament win. I've been busy so I only watched the final Saturday, but I have to admit the Lakers looked good. I'm still skeptical that their health with hold up over a full season+playoffs, but if they stay healthy, they look like a contender.

You didn't like it? I agree that it doesn't mean near as much as the finals, but I thought the players cared and it was fun to get some competitive basketball this early in the season.
