If we were really concerned about consumption of fossil fuels/environment we would stick to the hybrid system of a small battery with an ICE. Would suit the majority of people's daily commuting needs and not wasting huge amounts of resources on these massive batteries. Depending on configuration, you could get 5-10 hybrid cars utilizing majority electric power versus one EV with a giant battery.
This is of course ignoring the fact that alot of the electricity used would still be fossil fuel based. Full electric vehicles are a grift.

The money flowing into "green" has been a folly and should have been spent on developing nuclear based solutions. Unironically, fusion and thorium, while labelled pipe dreams and perpetually 30 years away, are way closer than people realize. IMO nuclear has been intentionally stymied by the "green" movement to milk as much money possible researching non-viable energy alternatives.
This is a finance channel that goes in depth how close we are to thorium and small nuclear reactors and how much the green movement has held back energy development.

I stayed in a small hotel that let you use their bikes, they grew their own food on site, fully organic restaurant. The whole hotel was 100% self-sustainable. The whole experience blew my mind with how they live and setup their society.
And you can buy mushrooms and herbs of all kinds in what they call "brain shops". By the time I left I wanted to move there. Still think about it to this day. Looked at their immigration process etc. I actually have enough career experience now to make the move.

why are you assuming people will pay $4100 to fuel a gas powered vehicle and $0 to fuel a tesla? also gotta figure in the price for setting up home charging for tesla.
and again...there's convenience to unlimited charging stations, unlimited range, quick "recharge" times, no degradation of range, a vehicle almost guaranteed to be useful at 200k+ miles, etc.
how many people actually consider themselves fooked because their ICE vehicle has over 36k miles? this isn't the 70s.
