True, but since the pause, people took on new debt (mainly due to inflation) so that few hundred bucks per month they had for their student loan is now going towards a different debt.

This fall is going to be pretty bad for a lot of people...

I'm for this, and still have some student loans to pay back. I just haven't been making any new payments because I didn't need to with the covid block.

Student loan forgiveness will just make inflation higher and now it lowers Biden's credibility because he cant commit to what he promised.

Bring back Trump the GOAT.

Then that's their financial stupidity. How many went out and bought a car because now they had a few extra hundred bucks they weren't paying to student loans? Or bought a house?

Under what metric? Boomers (the largest conservative voting block) are dying out. Gen Z and Millineals are now the largest voting block and the oldest demographics within those groups are not becoming politically conservative as they age at the rate their parent did.

And that would be fine if they simply didn't vote since older people are typically more politically engaged, but now you're directly affecting them (RvW/AA/and now studen loans) and putting a fire under their ass to go vote and they're going to vote blue.

Not sure but it was probably a lot because they were led to believe for years that the loan would be either forgiven or significantly reduced.
