Also, one can say the cop feared that the dog would bite him or another. He didn't have time to ascertain it's intentions.

I’m going to have the unpopular opinion here . I love dogs and actually put up with cats , as my neighbours cat practically lives on my deck during the summer .
Anyways I think you’d have to have one fuk of a low IQ to interpret that dog as a threat . Even so, I wonder if these cops have had so many close calls with dogs of every breed that they instinctively shoot at them when they’re charging at them like that ?
The weird thing was when the cop proceeded to shoot yet again after the dog started running away ?
Anyways nobody wins in this situation, and I understand their grief as a dog or cat is a family member .
Wish the dog was on a leash, as it could have been avoided

A few years ago there was a documentary out, called Of Dogs and Men. It was basically about this very subject. Cops killing dogs.

It was very tough to watch. I couldnt even make it all the way through.

There was one video in where an elderly couple were pulled over one night, by two cops. They had a yellow lab or retriever with them. The cops made them get out of the car for whatever and when they did the dog jumped out. All happy and goofy wagging its tail walking around the car. This big fat slob f#@&in hillbilly cop took a shotgun and literally just walked up and murdered the dog for zero reason.

I don't think I ever raged so much. I was in tears after seeing that. Every video clip in the movie showed unjustified killings.

The premise of the film was to show how untrained most cops are in canine behavior and to push for mandatory training in dealing with dogs.

Still, you can clearly see it's a friendly dog who is just saying hello. Anyone who knows dogs can tell a dog's demeanour and signs of aggression.


This cop deserves a mountain of chit and at the very least to be fired and prevented from working in the field again. If that were my dog, I wouldn't even care if I got the chair. I'd nail that kunt to a tree and flay him alive with a bowie knife.
