It wasn't set up purposefully at all. He died intestate and we were at the mercy of the court which seems to assume that any adults attached to a minor are out to steal from the child vs. protect them.
I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know what I would do if my wife died, srs. We'll soon be celebrating our 10 year anniversary.

We have never spoken about it but maybe I should set up a will and testament just in case.
