I mean having an irregular heartbeat for years at a young age (genetics) and just having a random heart attack or cardiac arrest at age 18 are 2 very different things.

My twin bro has had an irregular heartbeat since he was a kid for example. He recently had it taken care of surgically. That is not the same as someone just falling over from a heart attack.....which 98.45454 percent of the time is due to some sort if inflammation in the arteries leading to the heart of the actual heart itself. That is normally caused by a excess of lipo proteins fixing little cracks and fissures in your heart if you are older, or inflammation either from genetics or something that can cause myocarditis if you are younger....like Jame's kid.

Feel bad for the kid because he was going to be a pretty high draft pick in the NBA in the next 2 years or so.

Now if you are a team you can't risk it (Drafting him) and if you are him you FOR SURE can't risk it.

That was what was going to happen before this. It has already been talked about ad nauseam for over 2 years now how LeBron will go to whatever team drafts his son.

No team is going to waste a high draft pick on a player with heart issues, and if you are LeBron James? You 1000000000000% tell your kid to not keep playing (unless this is something correctable by surgery). There are more important things than playing Bball. Like your life.

I still remember Len Bias dying on the court from a heart issue similar to this while with Maryland. And he was going to be a top 5 pick. Once a person has a known heart issue the risk is too high.

For all the folks still arguing about the vax, I am not aware of any mechanism by which the vax would create electrical issues (there may well be one, but I am not aware of it) outside of myocarditis.

If this had been aheart attack, you could go off on the "clot" argument, but unless they show him to have had myocarditis, I'm not sure how the vax could have done this.

Len Bias was a coke head. This is completely different. Bronny will have zero problem getting drafted - whether he deserves it or not.

Anti-vaxxers think getting vaccinated (it is a vaccine regardless of anyone's feel feelz) is political.

They were tripping over themselves to make threads on it and it turns out, of course, it ISN'T vax related as usual.

You won't see them in here admitting that though, the next time a young person has, as the OP calls it, a "heart attack" they'll make multiple threads and blame the vax again with 100% certainty.

If the vax gave him myocarditis
If the myocarditis was mild enough to be asymptomatic and let him continue to train/play.
If the mild myocarditis was still serious enough to cause cardiac arrest.

The odds of all that happening perfectly are low, but the odds of an undiagnosed congenital condition are also low.

He got the crappy end of long odds, whatever happened.
