I think a lot of student loancels have replaced their frozen student loans with a bigger car payment.
I really can't see how the student loan payments coming back online is going to end well.

You gotta be a total rtard to buy a new vehicle. Even if you just buy one that's 3-5 years old, you save a ton. People are buying new vehicles, they're financing them. I'm curious how many of these new vehicle "purchases" actually get fully paid off by the original buyer.

The price of used trucks has started to go back to normal. They are still a little high but nowhere near the craziness of the past 3 years

Repos are up 20% this year and it's far from peaked. I want to see what happens if student loan borrowers do start paying their loans back this Fall.
I see tons of those new financed cars, high end audis, BMWs, mercedes in low income housing projects.
I hate to be excited to see what happens, but I am excited to see what happens.

I'm a used car guy been finding people cars for years and selling them for more than I paid.
I'm in a pinch because my Jeep likely has a head gasket issue and I need to travel a lot for work soon. Looking for a cheap runner while I sort out the Jeep and everything decent is getting sold within hours. Have 5k cash to jump on something. Can do a rental if needed but that takes away a big mileage payment to me.

Was going to look at/buy a car today, sold over the weekend. I told the seller I would come Monday when bank and DMV are open. Who has a bunch of cash sitting around to buy a car on the weekend? Dealers, that's who. I think there's a bunch of title hopping going on, I respect a good hustle but this is the second one that got sold out from under me in a week.
I learned my lesson, I have 3 copies of all the DMV forms and went to the bank and got cash so I can grab something as soon as it's listed, fuk the stealers, I'll play their game.

Automobiles create too much pollution and allow for too much independence for the citizen. We can’t take them away from you, so we will make them unaffordable. Enjoy riding the bus.
