All those things you just listed have nothing to do with disproving the brain is a filter that consciousness passes through. If the filter is broken then of course there will be issues in this physical world. But it proves nothing one way or the other.

I don't believe in a God overseeing all. I have no idea what happens after our physical form dies. But neither do you.

Can you go into more detail why you think it’s a filter? A filter of what? What causes the consciousness to exist in the first place? How do you know? What is your evidence?

You ever get deja vu? The feeling where you know you've experienced something before, but have no memory of it? Ever get it over and over again? Sights, smells, tastes, etc. It's weird enough as it is. The craziest form of it, imo, isn't when you recognize or feel familiar with something, but rather, when it gives you crazy strong emotions almost immediately. Not just nostalgia or familiarity, but this sense that it was really important to you at some time, for some reason. It's an experience, man.

I don't necessarily think that it's a filter. I've heard people say it could be, and I believe it's a possibility. I also believe there could be nothing after death. I also believe we may be in a simulation. Lot's of possibilities and no way definitively to prove any of them.

You claim that scientists "100% know" that consciousness is created strictly in the physical brain, and this isn't true. There is no consensus on that whatsoever. But to ask what causes consciousness to exist is no more meaningful than asking what causes matter to exist. Or the universe. Or the Big Bang. Or whatever you may believe in. The truth is there just aren't answers for any of this.

So I can give you the same amount of evidence for a filter, or a soul, or whatever else as you can give me for consciousness being solely and uniquely created in the brain. Which is to say - none.

My perspective as well. We don’t even have to speculate about what happens after death to understand existence as we know it ceases.

The neurological and biological processes that give us our ability to have a sense of self, and perceive the surrounding environment stop when we die.

Without these processes, this illusion of existence is not perceived.

I haven’t personally taken them, but I actually ended up kind of the same after watching documentaries about them. I think at least there is a non-zero chance that there is something other than “everything goes black for eternity.”
