If you start as an adult, then obviously it’s harder, but two hours a day is a massive amount of studying, assuming of course we’re talking about actual real training and not just mindless Internet playing which may not improve one’s playing at all.

Got almost up to 2300 last night. Bullet and blitz lichess. Fookin hard. These mofos are too fast and know too much sheit.
Should have easily beat a few 2450 rated players, raging right nao because lost for idiotic reasons. Fookin seething.

What are your preferred bullet/blitz time controls? I like 2/1 for bullet, and 3/2 for blitz.
I'm back, bitches!

I like 1/0 bullet the most.
and I sometimes do 3 and 5 min blitz or any blitz or bullet is fine actually as long as I have time to get used to it.
I think the 30 sec hyper bullet starts to cross the line for me where it’s not about chess skill anymore but rather specific speed skills. 1/0 is still chess. Fast! But chess.
I like no increment because I can run the clock. My speed is About 2500 level but skill about 2000-2100 lol so I can score on some professionals, especially women! Because they are slow.

Would be nice to get there so far away... Last push I did was very successful.
Chess Coach Pro - A few bucks on the app store is the best place for leveled and themed puzzle categories. Master each theme and then you will start seeing them in games better.
From there I started a few Chessable courses on solid semi-abnormal openings. Currently favoring Jobava London system, Vienna, and Pirc.
They tend to put people out of their memorized prep and atleast get me into mid game slightly up.
Then I started watching crappier chess youtubers. Anna Cramling helped me the most with mid-game concepts because her mind isn't so advanced I can't follow.
Pretty much only play 15-20 minute time controls.

Stopping 1 move blunders got me from 1100 to 1300. Learning some openings got me to 1450... I can get to 1600 doing gambits, but they either work or I get murdered. (Rapid)
