Let’s say you’re hiring a landscaper
You have one guy with a shovel who takes 100 hours to get the job done and another guy with a tractor and a bunch of equipment who gets it done in one day
Are you really telling me you’d pay the guy who takes 100 hours more money because he put more time in?

Let’s say you’re hiring a sales guy. Who should be paid more the guy that works 90 hours a week and brings in 20 million a year or the guy who works 45 hours a week and brings in 40 million a year?

Right now I average about 55 hours a week. The 15 hours of overtime are voluntarily and I don't have to do it if I don't want to, but my job is easy and I don't mind making extra money, especially if I don't have anything else to do. My normal 40 hour work week is 10 hour shifts, Monday thru Thursday with Friday Saturday and Sunday off. But I'll usually do an extra 10 hours on Friday, and an extra 5 hours on Wednesday.

If the workweek is cut to 32 hrs instead of 40, paychecks are going to be 80% of what they used to be.

As someone who was in the PE industry, I can promise you the only ones who are happy are the ones who are in love with their career. Anyone who has outside interests is miserable. Best thing you can hope for is go in-house somewhere and work 50 hours instead of 80 hours, but for 1/3 the pay.

Imagine though, in this fantasy of theirs you can work 32 hrs a week, get paid for 40hrs, and if you're really ambitious, find another 32hr job, and get paid for 40hrs. Or just find minor part time job.

Did 30 hours/week for about a year as a self employed brah and it was nice. So much free time and energy for enjoying life. Now I'm working like 45-50 per week but making practically double so it's worth it. If I was a wagecuck I would definitely perform better busting my ass for 32/week than dragging through the day doing 40/week.

I don't care what the rest of you fgts do but I'm going to keep working big hours and getting big checks.
On second thought maybe I do care, everywhere will have shorter hours or higher prices if their people only work 32 hours.
