Too many posters attributing the defeat of the Aztecs to the efforts of Cortes are overlooking the fact that there was a massive revolt by Aztec tributary states at the time

The actual story of why he did that is way more interesting than that. He rebelled against the regions governor commands and decided to turn an exploration mission into a conquest one. He dregged the ships to force the crew to side with him instead of the governor, plus he was a skilled manipulator so he convinced them and then another small expedition that had come to arrest him also joined his side, the first mayan tribe that they ecountered gave them lots of gold (along with other offerings) after a battle so they would leave, cortez used that gold to entice the men and make them join him.
He knew that he had to pull something big that would be big enough that he would gatter support directly from the king. He sent lots and lots of gold earlty on to pay the tax to his king, after the king recieved the gold and cortez had gained support he got pardoned and became powerful in the new kingdom.
Later in life he kept fuking up tho.

Yes they were master terraformers and they built the city island by island, they had developed and advanced terraforming method and they used this highly fertile islands to grow crops too. Some of them still remain to this day







That's why in the images you can see lots and lots of those slim willow trees they used to plant them so their roots would anchor the island down.

As much of a worthless POS commie scum that the OP is, I've always been fascinated with the history of Central America with the Mayan/Aztecs and South American Incas. Cool to see some of its history even though OP is was off base. Rome mogged the **** out of Tenochtitlan.
