Same. Gotta lucidmaxx. I once tried engaging in writing tasks after smoking a joint and that schit was terrible. Haven't used cannabis since. I read back what I wrote and it made no sense at all.

Life boring sober? strong alcoholcel copium

If anything, drinking IS because you're literally in an NPC loop of drink, feel bad, sleep, grave it, drink, etc.

I'm on day 317 of zero alcohol. During festivities where its socially ok and encouraged to drink you would think would be the hardest to stay completely sober.... or boring. But its actually a superpower to be sober around a bunch of intoxicated people, and makes you realized of bad it truly is.

100% accurate, but what are you gonna do. It's easier to sweep your issues under the proverbial rug and downplay them rather than accept them as serious problems.

Knew a guy who did great work, had a great personality, was always in demand being hired by the local University and hospitals. When he worked he was paid well. His big problem though was he drank excessively. He would only do so much work then spent the rest of his time drinking and being with his witch wife. She was a nice witch, belonging to some religious witches group, which was a big part of her life.

When are you fitting in booze? Before work? Sneaking it in during work? Driving home drunk? Boozing at night till you black out? What do your friends think? Spouse? Children? Colleagues?

Usually dont drink as much these days. Maybe a few beers at most. But yea during the occasional bender I make sure all my errands are done then start around 8pm to blackout. I dont consider myself an alkie tho even tho I larp as one. Been sober this week and taking the next one off too prob. All about balance

That sounds more like a post-work/weekend drunk. I mean, it's not ideal but at least you're not drinking on the job and driving around with a quart in your glove box.

My buddies and I partied a lot when we were younger. We'd get drunk every weekend, go camping, make bonfires, throw house parties, etc. Tremendous amount of fun but I think we all properly got that schit out of our systems. In my mid 30s, if I have a handful of drinks, I pay for it the next day.

Can confirm: hardly ever drink and I'm doing well and am happy.

Can't imagine being older than 25 and still drinking like a dumb college kid out on their own for the first time.

I accomplish a hell of a lot more ever since I started casually drinking.

1) A few shots of whiskey puts me right to sleep, which helps me reset my sleep cycle - I suffer from extreme insomnia.

2) Alcohol makes it easier for me to conversate with low IQ plebs.

3) Alcohol is a great conversation starter.

Interestingly, research shows that alcohol actually impairs sleep. Kind of counterintuitive given that it's a nervous system depressant.

Kinda like how a new research will come out saying that HIIT cardio is better for fat loss, then 2 months later another study comes out saying steady state cardio is better for fat loss, then 2 months later another study comes out that says cardio is bad for fat loss, then 2 months later another study comes out that says zero carbs is best for fat loss, then 2 months later a study comes out that says a carbs-only diet is best for fat loss....

I'd like to think that in 2023 people would take these studies with grain of salt since every 2 months a study comes out that contradicts some study that came prior.
