Gonna be great when all gas is phased out..
I’m not sure if Beethoven three and the sound of a gasoline engine is a good comparison, it shows the length of mental gymnastics one is willing to perform, but the fact is that Beethoven’s third symphony sounds quite a bit better than an engine of a car,

Likewise, the comparison between Tesla and the washing machine isn’t great, actually quite a bit more accurate is the sound of the gasoline engine and the washing machine, those actually do sound alike.

Out of curiosity, do any of you guys like sleep? What is so great about the noise? Gasoline cars, airplanes, jackhammers, subway, lawn mover, leaf blower, what is it that makes you orgasm about those noises? When you floor the gas on your Camaro does that make your dick bigger? Do you get more money? Do you get to live 20 years longer? Surely there must be some benefit, can you explain it?

Combustion is simply music to our ears. It's not noise like you describe it.

Mark Mangini is an Oscar winning sound designer and can pin point which engine is producing the sound and all the details of it

I don't know why you're not interested in cars. I don't know why there's men not interested in cars, it's weird to me. I shouldn't have to explain why men love cars. How don't you like them? You don't have to own a car to appreciate it's design, characteristics, exhaust. There's something about the odds and ends of how everything works.

Maybe it's the engineer in me who likes to think how things work? The same men who likes cars are probably responsible for our buildings, trains, airplanes, and space ships.

There were 400 NTHSA recalls issued in 2022, impacting more than 25 million vehicles. Of those vehicles, Teslas scored four of the top five spots on the list, according to the price-tracking car search engine iSeeCars.com. Tesla might have scored more, but it only makes four models.

The brand with the fewest projected recalls is Mercedes-Benz, followed by Toyota and Lexus. A total of 33 car, truck, or SUV models are projected to experience one or fewer recalls in that time frame; 25 models are projected to experience at least 10.

a bug in the software shouldn't be considered a "recall". the only reason it is is because of the MSM agenda against Tesla paid for by other manufacturers.

Yes it should, or companies will start treating vehicle software like fukn videogames pushing out half-baked products they intend to spend the next 5 years patching until they work properly.

I like a fast quiet modern car, yes.

Any smell of exhaust or noise should be an automatic 10k fine. What gives someone the right to wake you up or to make you smell gasoline? I mean there is jet fuel in breastmilk for ****s sake’s, hopefully all these relics will be outlawed soon.

Nope, you're absolutely wrong on this. Maybe in your trailer trash neighborhood it happens, to which I can understand. I'd suggest you move to a gate community where it's soyboys and karens, should get the peace and quiet you want.

But a proper built car sounds great.

And they won't be outlawed anytime soon. I like the sound of good exhaust, moaning sloots, and guns. STAY MAD.

'I was kidnapped by my runaway electric car'

Mr Morrison said his car suffered a ''catastrophic malfunction'' and became stuck at 30mph on the A803 heading towards Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow.

I've had mine for 6 weeks and loving it so far.

The moment of clarity was after my first ever test drive and then I got back into my 3yo BMW and felt like I was going back in time into a ye olden daye car from another era.

They do seem kinda cool. Kinda, as commuter vehicles. The problem is EVs will be a niche for decades. Just to service USA needs we'd need twice as much lithium as all the lithium that's mined globally. They tend to have about as much copper as a decent sized house. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. So true sharp rise in EVs means the materials that go in other things like laptops, phones, and homes have to go up in price a lot.

Gimme a hybrid that can go 70-100 miles on a charge, then becomes a regular hybrid that can use gasoline and call it a day.

I drove the m40i a lot when my 7 series was in service. It was fast and loud, but that’s about it, nothing special.

The biggest issue for me and why I’m no longer a BMW owner is because everything always breaks on these cars and service is absolutely terrible,

And **** gas stations too. Ev ftw.

Your math is strange, model Y is the best selling car in the world and is just over 30k, I’m not sure what you’re talking about regarding build quality, your post actually makes perfect sense if in reverse , in a Tesla you get a $300,000 performance in a $30,000 car, and without the noise, that’s for starters. Now, I don’t know how many expensive cars you owned, but their build quality is terrible, they break all the time.
