These days they are just a bunch of freaky looking manlets. Its basically a freak show than anything else. Back in the glory days you could admire them.

I'm not sure how old you are but its been a freak show since the mid 90s. Did you forget about Yates, Coleman, Cutler, Heath, Roly, Ramy, & Greene?

They've already figured out people want to see the freak shows not the 'aesthetics'. Aint nobody traveling to Vegas and buying tickets for the Olympia to see guys that are the same size as dudes they work out with in their own gym.

Yeah his back shot is the best on that stage but I don't think it's gonna be enough. I think conditioning has been a problem in the past but this year these guy's really brought it.

Dorian had size and conditioning though. Ronnie was also out of this world. Both are legends who will live forever, and their DVDS were different than everyone else.

These new crop of characters though...... ****, people don't even know who the Mr. Olympia is anymore.

Yes it started getting freaky but Yates and most of those guys still looked like superman compared to these manlets though. These guys are even shorter and more jacked.

Things have changed though. The Olympia used to be on TV every year. It didn't matter if people were into lifting or not everyone tuned in for it. Gyms always had bb magazines on the counters too and you could find them in any store.

But think about, Ronnie Coleman was on Jay Leno with Gina Davis ogling him.

Also, both Coleman and Dorian were on the Rogan show, they had that "It Factor."

These new guys after him don't.

What a weak copout LOL. You realize that Derek has a much smaller waist than Dorian did, right? Not saying that he is "better", but this nonsense about how these guys are too grotesque is like 5 years past it's due date. The top guys right now are all back to having normal midsections.

The problem for Derek and Hadi is that they are both manlets, so they look blocky. These are both 212 guys who moved up to open. Derek is like 5'6 max.

Wow Palumbo looks normal here and slim, good to see him doing good.

I miss when Bodybuilding.com streamed Olympiathose were the days, the new owners who bought this website didnt even bother updating or promoting it

its why the website is pretty much dead, the buyers had zero passion for bodybuilding, or fitness and just saw it as lucrative

this happened to a similar website I used to read called Rapmusic.com the owner sold it for a couple million the new owners didnt attend to it and didnt interact with the forum and members and they closed it down.

That Brazilian Ramon Dino should have won, Chris looked okay but not top dog, he looks off here, Id say he is top 3. But Ramon killed it. I still never understood how Olympias are scored, its just politics like Lee Priest used to say he said the Olympia should be changing hands but they keep a top guy on for consecutive wins even when they look less then stellar becuase they are company men.

I wish someone would just buy Olympia and revamp the scoring and grading and judging should NEVER show favoritism, Aesthetics should be the ultimate, if they got a gut they lose to the one without. No V taper, horrible bloated look, synthol etc oust them

I don't know I think the guys came in pretty good condition this year. We're watching online, looking at pics, etc...

It's not the same as sitting at the judges table. They can see all those tiny little things that we just can't.
