Be honest with yourself, you've been close minded to the lab leak since day 1 because you were told to be.

I think many people don't agree with lab leak coverup, but they understand why it's been done. It quickly evolved into a geopolitical and trust in public health organizations schitstorm to identify Covid as a lab leak. There's no silver bullet for either zoonotic spillover or lab leak, but Jesus H. Christ it's insane to not consider all of the lottery winning odds coincidences that happened with lab leak.

Quite the opposite. Lab leakers have been close minded and unwilling (or unable) to consider evidence that contradicts their position. Lab leakers were rightfully called conspiracy theorists not because they were skeptical of a zoonotic origin, but because they were proclaiming, without evidence, a lab leak.

I’ll remind you of the open letter published in Science early in the pandemic, which was orchestrated by Worobey. The entire goal of the letter was to call out both camps (LL and natural zoonosis); it contented that more evidence is needed before a conclusion about origins can be made. And guess what happened? Over the next three years an enormous amount of evidence has emerged and consequently a LL has been rejected.
