Elon DOES want X to be successful. He will make effort to try to display the right behavior, such as going to Isreal, etc.

That being said, he's (rightfully so) annoyed at some of these advertisers who act holier than thou, and are essentially blackmailing him with this tactic, so he's giving them the middle finger.

When he gives the middle finger, he's not saying he doesn't try or doesn't care if it fails, he's just saying "FU" for their frustrating business tactics.

I don’t know if any social media can actually survive as like a paid subscription type service though, selling ads is the only way to generate enough revenue. X lately has even been paying people biweekly based on their post impressions, because that incentivizes content creation that is necessary to have people visiting at all

what's their monthly revenue, it should be public no? And their unique users. It's not going to be perfectly linear as the arithmetic mean but it gives us an idea and I bet there are deep stats on users and we could break them out into value add or not to get an idea of how much of a monthly fee per user it would take
