Dunno about you, but I have options lol you make it sound like Rockstar is the only developer out there making good games. Their only edge among other games is details/physics. Writing/story is always subpar, no lore, just mindless fun and good for mass consumption - not saying that's a bad thing, I do enjoy games like that, but to treat them like they're the only good games/devs around and should get a free pass on things that people would be up and arms about if they're any other game company is so ridiculous.

I see a lot of people on twitter and YT comments saying how gameplay is going to look like the trailers and that it is running real- time on consoles lol

I hope none of you are that retarded. The trailer looks good, but we all know the actual game will get downgraded and probably be limited to 30fps.

It is running real time. Cutscenes in the trailers just like Forbidden West/TLOU1 remake are in real time and using higher polygon models than the actual gameplay, this is nothing new. But it is being run in engine and it will transition into gameplay with lower quality models just like those other mentioned games. These aren't pre recorded CGI movies. Also, I'm positive there will be a 60fps mode for base consoles. Rockstar has optimized this game for consoles so I don't think it will be a mess like Starfield.

Not in the same genre of GTA, everything else out there is absolute trash compared to GTA. its been 10 years since gtav was release and theres still no open world city type game out there that even comes close to GTAV.

Cyberpunk is really one of the few games I can think of with a comparable open world. I think cyberpunks is better tbh, though it's 10 years newer so it should be.

If CP with its more advanced systems and combat mechanics that interplay can comfortably hit 60fps on console I see no reason why GTA 6 can't. Especially since GTA is a console-first game while CP is PC first.

Not sold yet. Need to see the actual mechanics.

Recently finally played GTA V and thought it was a 6/10 game srs. They can make the world as huge and as pretty as they want but if their "world" is still just a big interactive mission board, who cares?

Nothing you do has ANY consequence (other than triggering the 'wanted' minigame), NPC's are just walking decorations as they were back in PS1 era GTA games, all the buildings are just empty background blocks you cannot enter, gameplay is jank, controls for EVERYTHING suck, mission design is mostly sh!t, minigames are all pointless and horrendously done, I could go on and on.

These games are like the silicone sloots they are making fun of. All styles and glitter with zero substance.

The one good thing about these games is the writing and that peaked in GTA IV.

I have not gotten into online so maybe that's where the appeal is.

NPC AI on GTA 5 is nothing special compared to games available now in 2023. What's special is the NPC AI in RDR 2.

As for it being this supposedly godlike open city world that nothing comes close to, I think you're just being hit strong by nostalgia and your imagination is making it better than what it really is. I just accidentally saw some GTA 5 clips earlier today where the player is driving around the city and there's barely any NPCs on the side walks, also barely any traffic. Even saw players saying that they hope they fix the traffic in GTA 6.

I can't get invested playing a 120lb chick wielding heavy machine guns and manhandling peds out of cars srs. Unless it's like GTA5 where you can switch character.
Also hoped for a mid to late 90's/early 2000s setting so we don't get endless cringe parodies of tiktok/FB/Twitter etc. Bet the house on a parody of Elon Musk, Joe Rogan etc.
The wait will not live up to the hype, I mean it will be 12 fkin years.
That's all I'll say about it for the next 12 months.

I'm hyped for this mostly for nostalgia reasons, but I've been unimpressed with Cuckstar for a fuking decade now. GTA IV was a masterpiece but lost a bit of the spirit of the GOAT games OAT with San Andreas and Vice City. I'd kill for another GTA IV after GTA V. V's world felt soulless to me. The single player story also sucked balls and it seemed like an afterthought. The world and story, really the whole game, was just milked for these last 10 years for countless online transactions that are just the highest form of cuckoldry. Oh, and no story DLC. Meanwhile, they drop a trailer for the sequel coming in 2025...12 fuking years after V...like it's a gift from God. The only games they've made aside from Cowboy Simulator 2, which was way less fun than RDR, were repackaged editions of GTA V for new consoles and a terrible "definitive edition" of the GTA games that came out 20 yard ago.

No Bully sequel? No more Max Payne games? No GTA or even DLC for 12 years?

Cliffs: Fuk Cuckstar and fuk all you cucks out there who sink your G4P money into GTA Online and keep them afloat!

Yeah if it's a fantasy setting with powers or some chit like Control I am fine with playing as a female character. Even a game like TLOU where you run around and stealth kill zombies in an apocalypse I can stretch my imagination. With this game they're presenting a real life setting in a real place and because of that your brain automatically compares it to the real world where you never see 120 lb chicks running around with the thugs, beefing and having shootouts with rival gangs, robbing banks, police chaces, guns, drugs, hoes etc. So when you're playing a game where you're supposed to feel immersed in that crime/gang setting it feels weird playing as a some hot young chick who would never have the strength or motivation to do that stuff.
