1) Classical liberalism isn’t clear on war. Some would want to avoid it at all costs, other could be fairly hawkish. Going back our founding fathers were be considered classic liberals for their time. They certainly didn’t avoid war.

2) The US isn’t in a war for the first time in a very long time - right now. And people on the left aren’t crying for war in general. I believe the Gulf War was the only just war we have been in since I’ve been alive.

I think the right has a better understanding of the other side than the left. Most lefties truly cannot grasp the current politicial landscape.

Dems used to be the ones who didn't trust corporations, politicians, were against the MIC, agreed with border security, etc.

Today, it's the nonestablishment right who doesn't trust corporations, politicians, have wisened up to the MIC and globalist agenda, agree on border security, etc. There has been a total reversal in a matter of just a few decades.

Sure, we squabble over silly things like gender, at what point an abortion should be illegal, etc. But all major issues which drive the country and global political landscape are agreed upon by dems and the establishment republicans because they are all owned by the same players. These politicians are all groomed for years in advance, paid off, and then promoted. See Nicki Haley-- she left the UN, got millions from the typical power players, carefully crafted her run for years, and now here she is competing for the republican nomination. She is an avatar for the establishment republicans. Christie is her bulldog so that she doesn't have to defend herself from Vivek. Each non-establishment candidate will bow out of the race when they are told they are allowed to bow out. The entire thing is orchestrated to drive an outcome.

The only group that has opened their eyes to all of the nonsense is the nonestablishment right, which is why they are portrayed as the boogy-men.

Seems like the left is perfectly on board with the power and money behind the social media platforms, which drive narratives and social discourse... and are heavily influenced by our own govt to manipulate algorithms. Last I checked, Musk (a lefty) taking over twitter and exposing the govt infringing on our first amendment rights instantly made him a far right extremist and public enemy number one.

If you look at the graphs of trust in the media, the left has seen a steady increase in trust over the last several years whereas the right and independents have seen a steep decline in trust to record lows.

You’re never going to get anywhere with your fundamentally flawed logic. The “left” is not a hive mind (as much as the media I believe you consume wants to sell you on that) - there is no liberals “as a group.”

American politics is sadly divided into two camps and we are all told it’s “us against them,” and that exactly what the politicians and media want. It’s so easy that way, and nobody actually has to be on their best behavior because there is only one alternative. Divide people up on guns, abortion, gay rights, etc., and they can do whatever they want after that.

I don't know many dems who call out other dems. But I do know that antiestablishment republicans are willing to call out their own party. So you are right that 2 groups exist, but it is the establishment vs. the nonestablishment. Party lines do not exist because the establishment encompasses both dems and reps.

And it's funny that everyone that the left doesn't like thinks they "are god." While most uber-wealthy have an ego, Musk comes off as more rational that the brazenly egotistical establishment class which includes politicians, media, intel, etc.
