Also spending $7k on a PC with only 32gb ram is wild. You could get the same PC with 128gb/64gb ram and pay $3.5-4k less than you are now. Think about that. Even if my math or parts are slightly off, you are still way overpaying.

I think a lot of that also has to do with how games really haven't been progressing like they used to as well. We used to make huge strides in improvements, now you need to zoom in with a magnifying glass to see the difference half the time.

One thing I thought that was kind of cool ,is the owners been in business for 30 years , and he said this will be the powerful computer he’s built so date .
Should be able to pick it up late next week . I just ordered the monitor and desk , so there’s really no rush till they arrive.

Haven't fully utilized it so far. But planning on building a golf simulator soon, running 4k graphics, with multiple cameras hooked up to it. So it should be able to run it like a champ. And games look incredible.

This receiver gets mediocre reviews because of its 50 watts per ch output . I’m going to build some kind of shelve and have the amp under the tower . These will be open shelves ,so shouldn’t cause any over heating issues for the computer. Btw the computer is loaded with a lot of fans .
I was actually looking at other inexpensive options for 5.1 receiver to power the speakers, and Onkyo had a great deal on its 5.1 receiver.
I am tempted to buy this Yamaha receiver though, as it looks more futuristic, and not that classic look we’re all familiar with .

No an Alienware 1440 , and I believe it’s 165 hz . I wanted to go with a 4K till I seen how the icons look on it . You can make them larger ,but I believe it just cuts the resolution in half ?You are going for a 4K monitor tho right? This is absolutely overkill for 1440p lol
Anyways ,prior to this I seen a video of a guy who upgraded from 1080 to a 4K , only to find it was over taxing his system when the computer had to rescale the game back to 1440 .
He ended going with a 1440 in the end .
I am talking threw my @ss ,as I don’t know enough about it and was relying on my computer guy and YouTube videos

But yes, 4k is taxing on the hardware. 4090 should be able to play everything at 4k though fine. Of course with the state of AAA games that might not be the case for the latest titles, but usually those games are 60 fps controller games anyway.
