One of my buddies from highschool passed away last year from cancer and he was also a huge FF7 fan. It's so sad thinking he won't get to play it. I remember when Remake came out he was so stoked about it.
Don't waste your time just get final release.

You're saying that outside of the Eikon battles, the graphics of the rest of the game would stun you if you saw them in 2019?

Yeah.


Some of the lighting, the forest areas, mountain areas and the overall density and geometry looks incredible and next gen. Have you played the game yet? you need to see it irl on your oled.

That's the reason I don't want to see it. I was scarred by the next gen games I played after getting my OLED. I've been complaining massively that the TV is showing the weakness in games that I couldn't see before. The internal resolutions are far too low for my TV, they are a far cry from what was seen from the likes of Ragnarok, Demon's Souls, Rift Apart, Horizon, Tsushima, FF7 Remake. I suspect it's the use of Raytracing in subsequent games and consoles just can't do it.

You yourself complained here that Rebirth looked blurry... Well guess what, Remake doesn't look blurry at all.

Fair enough.

These 2 games in particular warrant the existence of a PS5 Pro because there's no way in hell I know square can optimize it further or even will. I'm pretty sure given the budget/time/manpower square could still work miracles on rebirth to improve the iq/performance.



I'm guessing you're not gonna bother picking ff16 or rebirth until pro comes out?

Good guess.

I've been having issues with graphics from Jedi Survivor, Red Dead 2 (only played an hour), Spiderman 2, Guardians of the Galaxy. Besides RDR2 which just needs a port, the rest of them force raytracing and because of that the resolutions are just too low in performance mode.

If a pro does come out, I'd be annoyed I played Rebirth on base console when I could have just waited and gotten a much better first experience.

Except I did play the games and had fun, but I also spent money on a nice big 4k TV, only to have games be 1080p or 720p. I don't expect a poorcel like yourself to care but you expect me to not notice it when other older games look much better?

Just wait for the PC version.

I personally can't wait so I'm just gonna deal with the 30fps. I played the Remake back on the PS4 Pro and didn't have any issues with it.

they updated the demo with a new area. Its really good, this game is gon be goated
