I'm on the invisalign train now. I like them a lot.

Had one instance where I must've burst a capillary in my guns and my top invisalign got filled with blood while at the office. Grossed a couple people out.

My jaw is good, my chin is recessed by just enough to notice. This will fix it

Yeah. I started invisalign with my dentist but he wasn't doing that great a job so I transferred to an orthodontist … I had to get new liners but she didn't charge me full price as if I was at square 1.

I did a competitor to invisalign a couple years ago. Yeah, it's a little uncomfortable when you swap to each new set. And, yeah, it sucks having to take them out to clean/eat.

It's not that bad though. Worked super well for me and now I just wear a retainer every 3 nights to make sure the shape maintains. Kinda overpriced considering they're just 3d printed plastic. Could automate that chit yourself.

She gave me a deal because my dentist was messing up my teeth… the price was originally going to be 7k but she charged me 5k. I paid it all up front. Also, I think she liked me and probably wouldn't do it for everyone. She did have to start from square 1. She re-scanned my teeth and everything.

Even though dentists offer invisalign, I'd recommend only going to an orthodontist for it.

Had braces as a teen but fuked up and lost the retainer then lost two teeth in an accident so figured fuk it and might as well get everything straight again and then get the implants. Was gonna go invisalign but might go braces again and see if we can speed run it this time. Need them for less than a year so maybe braces can be done faster?

Don't quote me but I think invisalign is faster…

On week 4 of 22 now. Getting used to them. Had to go to the dentist a couple of times to get the attachments back on (a few fell out). We're all gonna make it

ok so you didn't pay it in full with the first dentist then. that's what I did. then I relocated almost to the end.

My first dentist offered a discount price, which is why I decided to go with him. However, with that discount price came subpar skills and inexperience. Dentists cannot be orthodontists but they try with invisalign. His price was 3k. So in the end, I paid him 3k and the new orthodontist 5k, but my insurance covered $2,500, so the total I paid for invisalign out of pocket: $5500

Pro tip for anyone that is considering Invisalign. I found a little loophole in the system that worked for me, but it might depend on your state.

Delta Dental is the only dental insurance that I could find that covered Invisalign. I think they cover a life time up to $2,500 for orthodontics.

So they make you pay into into the policy for 1 year before you can start using the ortho part of the insurance.

The loophole is that if you show them that you already have dental insurance (with another company) in place for a year or longer, you don’t have to wait that one year.

So I bought the delta dental plan, paid like $50 for the month, did my teeth cleaning with it, did a set of X rays and started the Invisalign. I submitted the claim for for the ortho and got a check for $2,500 in the mail.

I then cancelled the delta dental and continued my regular dental insurance.

Update:

I have 9 weeks left having done 20 weeks so far and I take it all back. the 1st week was weird and uncomfortable but now they're a part of my routine and I can easily pop them in and out whenever i want to. I'm not super careful about it anymore, like i don't brush my teeth every time i eat something i usually just swoosh with water a bit or something.
