They said if I’m not having pain anymore which I’m not to hold off on the antibiotics but do the extraction and implant asap before it comes back so that’s my plan

Did you not take the antibiotics OP?
Why go see a doctor only to ignore the treatment, especially when it’s for something as common as tooth pain. He probably saw tale tale signs of infection, and you can’t get a root or implant with an active infection. The dentist just won’t do it.
You’ll have to take your full round of antibiotics, not just until the pain goes away. Then they’ll check you, and if you’re clear you can proceed with whatever route you want to go with.
