I'm not super social or anything but I've moved to an entirely new city where I knew nobody 2 times. It just takes time to make friends and build a community. The first time I did it, I ended up meeting most people through work and soccer.

Its been 3 years since I moved to this new place. Meetup groups really made a big difference, thats how I made most of my friends. There's a lot of lonely people and new people looking to make friends so it can be done if you get out there a bit.
