Well, the pump was pretty poverty on all the USD exchanges and nothing has really changed. But man was it glorious on Binance. Basically means there was a lot of cash in tether and it's officially become a shi+ coin with shi+ coin volatility.

I get the feeling the big boys are hesistant that the withdrawals could get shut at any minute over at bitfinex. So they dont wanna risk having btc/fiat on it. I think ive seen this happen on an Aus exchange before, where deposits were disabled and withdrawals were fine. Then the bank eventually shut them off with withdrawals too.

Think lowstrife/other crypto twitter mentioned this bitfinex premium has existed in the past too.

I was trying to figure this one out. So they buy btc on a USD exchange. Send it to a tether exchange and then what? TUSD is around $1.10 on binance.
Gaps down in the 6100 area that will have to be filled. I think this could be a good location to get a V bottom as well. Near this time frame, we could drop out and hit the trend line around 5k, never break that bottom trend line, and then continue upwards. This could end up being the play now.

In any event, I expect us to come back down for now to at a minimum fill those gaps.



And yes, that is how arbitrage works. Buy it on Coinbase, dump it elsewhere like binance or something. Srs. Actually considering doing it myself. But just my luck, I'll initiate the transfer and things will reverse, lmao. CB will get premium prices the second I send funds. lol

also i guess im one of the few guys in here that does this full-time so here's the view from my place in miami this last weekend. went down to meet up with some guys in the space that were attending the conference. i figured this out late last year but remember, its really not what you know, its who you know.

Gdax pretty flat but binance btc is falling. Tether must be making a comeback. Time to fire up the printing presses and create some more magic internet tether money. If it wasn't hard enough to trade crypto, now you have to monitor multiple exchanges. I'm about ready to become a hodler.

I understand arbitrage but what do you dump it for on binance? The premium on TUSD is already baked in at $1.10.

one more tip: sys looks like it's going to have a strong short term run. my bags are packed (already have nodes running I'm not touching) but wouldn't wait too long on it.

It exists because there is friction in getting USDT converted back into dollars. There are market makers who's entire business revolves around doing this conversion.

This is why there is a premium. If they can't do the round trip, nobody can. There will continue to be a premium until one of t wo things happens.

1) Tether goes under

2) Banking connections are restored and USDT --> USD is possible.

So by "trying" to do this arbitrage, you guys are taking USD and putting it on Binance for a possible 5% gain... or 100% loss if Tether goes under\funds are sized\etc. Sounds like a pretty ****ing **** trade to me. Low reward, low risk high consequence is a pretty bad type of trade especially when the odds are by no means clear.

Tether and bitfinex are part of the same corporate structure. Setup by the same people. USD on bitfinex "are" tether. They claim clients can withdraw USD directly from them without using tether but that seems to be... difficult.

my pick going into tomorrow is POA. chart looks strong past few days even amidst the dump of alts after that btc run that lasted 10 minutes.
I woke up this morning still breathing. Might as well take advantage of it.

In addition to storing cryptocurrencies, Fidelity Digital Assets will use an existing internal crossing engine and smart order router for trade execution. This order router will allow Fidelity institutional customers to execute trades for bitcoin, ether and other assets at multiple market venues. While Jessop didn't say which ones, he said cryptocurrency exchanges have to comply with the same "Fidelity standard" applied in other parts of the business.

"We have a pretty extensive onboarding procedure for these types of counterparties, which involves diligence on their financial strength as well as their regulatory procedures like 'know your customer' and anti-money laundering," he said. "We are certainly only going to connect to those counterparties that we feel good about."

POA up 25% since I said this 7 hours ago. Idk what you guys are trading but it's a joke right now over at binance.

Im also keeping an eye on WAN/ETH and MOD/ETH to have decent bounces sometime throughout the day. If mod doesn't bounce I'm expecting it will around a 60% retracement from it's peak from 2 days ago lol.
