Today's theme is "Winter, please go."

- Didn't get as much snow as was originally forecast for Snowpocalypse17.
- Owning a snowblower.
- The power stayed on during the storm.
- An extra day off from work this week (because of above)
- Neighbor who owns a Bobcat and will clear away the icy mess that plows leave in their wake.
- A warm house to retreat to after a few hours clearing out driveway and clearing off vehicles.

Amen to that. Last year we were spoiled with 20+ C temps for most of March and I was hoping for the same again.

Today, I'm grateful for:

- Warm temperatures in the forecast (even if they're not nearly as warm as last year at this time).

- Beautiful weather for my trip to the mountains.

- Leaving the conference early so I could head home before the rain and snow hit Banff.

- Big win for the Oilers last night. It's always fun to watch your team lay a 7-1 whooping.

- Getting my expense claim processed quickly, so I don't have to wait too long for my money.

Having enough energy. I didn't have time to lift yesterday morning so I went after work. I was concerned about being able to get through this morning's session on a shorter rest but I was fine.

The pump I got this morning. Love starting the day confident, especially on days like this with a big meeting out of the office.

Spring break. I'm liking having the kids home and looking forward to heading out of town with them tomorrow.
Come and take it.

I'm grateful for...

A most excellent pull session this morning, followed by some quick cardio.

The cheap sparkling water I found last weekend. Some delicious flavors without calories.

The very generous lighting in my hotel this morning. It had me feeling all sorts of good about my cut

Convenience store microwaves. By far the most undeterred portion of my travels.

Getting to sleep in my bed tonight and the next few nights.

I'm grateful for...

- a lot of reminders of my friend happening this week. He lived for basketball. Spent many nights watching games with him. I know if he were still here, he'd go with us to Kansas City in hopes our teams would play each other.

- days at home with the kids. The oldest is sick, but I can deal with that, rather than having to work in the office.

- having breakfast this morning. Been on that IF time, so it was nice to have something. Down to 192, from 206 8ish weeks ago, and still have 4.5 weeks to go until vacation. Going in shredded!

- caffeine. Kind of like my family, it's always there for me.

- my cat for chasing a fly in the house today. Providing the LOL's as we speak. She needs to chase more bugs with her fat azz.

Thanks m8. It happened in October, so it's been a bit, but still pretty fresh.

I love ball. I don't get into the NBA much, except to follow certain players(those KU roots). But this time of year, I have a computer streaming games and at least one tv on. I'm thinking about moving one of my smaller tv's into the living room to have three screens.

Got my tickets to Sweet 16/Elite 8 in KC next week..hoping I'm not let down. My buddy was a Louisville fan, so pretty good chance we get to play. I'm excited about it.

Today I'm grateful for...
...made it home safe & sound from one of the best vacations my wife and I have had together. I don't dare get on the scale, but I don't care. Life is about balance.
...my neighbor for clearing a path on our driveway after a 18" snowstorm so we could get inside the house with our luggage @ 1:00 a.m. without a lot of frustration.
...getting back in the routine. Will begin lifting tomorrow.

Keeping my road rage under control today. It used to be really bad, but I've made a promise to myself to take deep breaths and calm down. I swear every car was tailgating me on the way to and from work. I was already driving 5 mph over the speed limit but they wouldn't pass me.

Been consistent with lifting & cardio all week. Tonight will be no exception.

Going to the new Chick-Fil-A that opened locally this Saturday.
