Playing the whole gears series first time towards the end of gears 2, it’s alright 8/10 some of the gameplay is boring turret shooting, it’s just kind of boring more than first for sons reason. Still kind of fun dated gameplay though

Playing the GOAT Arkham game again.



Asylum is my fave of the 4 Arkham games. Whilst it is smaller than the open city games, I like the atmosphere and slightly "claustrophobic" feel of being trapped on the island with all those beefed up violent lunatics. Plus the trippy nightmare sequences after being gassed by Scarecrow are pure brilliance.

Asylum and City are both great. I want to say if not for all the safe rooms I would’ve platted asylum. Ivy is sexy af in asylum too. That steamy cutscene …

yep, Asylum is the best one. By far. Batman did not get better by going open world

Holy chit i just started Cyberpunk on Series X and it can't even hit 60 fps on low settings without stuttering lmao

I suppose you mean Performance Mode when you say "low settings"?

finished the game some time ago on Series X and I had an occasional stutter here and there but overall it ran smooth

Agreed. City is still good and worth a play, but Origins is just more of the same and the only thing that Knight adds to the mix is the Batmobile and the a few gadgets. Asylum is still the strongest overall.

Its always amused me how every enemy you fight in these games seems to be an IFBB pro-bodybuilder who will attack a notoriously badass armored vigilante and fight hard until they get knocked out.

Kinda got into Gears 5 ... I tried playing it the first time, but I was doing it straight after gears of war 4, so I stopped just into the beginning because of burnout on the whole gears formula ... Playing it again from the begining, but this time on the oled, rather than my monitor and using the 3080ti ..... hoooooooly fuk. Cranked up all the settings, 4k res and damn... This game is a looker isnt it. The only thing I havnt managed to do yet is use the C9's VRR thingy to get higher than 60fps so currently locked at a buttery smooth 60. The only that takes me away is the facial animation/detail for the characters ... Been spoiled by games like Horizon FW/ Ratchet and clank.

After being disappointed with Gears 4, I really liked Gears 5. You can tell the Coaliton got more comfortable. And yea, it is definitely a looker. What Act are you on?

The Hivebusters single player dlc is also on game pass as part of Gears 5, and it even bumps up the pretty art and visuals from Gears 5... plus it only takes 3-5 hours to beat.

Taking a vacation from Elden Ring. I can only deal with frustration for so long...

Currently playing Octopath Traveler. Absolutely loving it - it's art style might look like 16-bit sprites, but it's layered on top of Unreal 4 engine and uses a depth of field gimmick that makes every frame stand out.





I might hold off on returning to Elden Ring until later in the summer since it dominated my entire spring. After Octopath, I'm planning to start Horizon Forbidden West.

102 hours into Forbidden West currently and I don't want this to end anytime soon. Aloy is very likeable as a protagonist as they made her quite shy/modest and they upgraded her looks alot in this game. The graphics of the world are the most beautiful I've ever seen @ Resolution mode. The side missions are fun, there's a ton of discoverables in the map and things to explore. The main story is fantastic, main NPCs and their interactions are top notch, towns and music catch you in the feels. There's this one special town I approached at night and the music kicked in and I swear it was a spiritual experience.

Wtf is this game man, it's a shame everyone can't experience this. I might go into depression when it's over. Lol

I think it's Act 3? Kait just entered into that warehouse to collect her glider thing, so I'm assuming I'm moving into the semi-open world part next.


But yeah, story so far is interesting ... Gears 4 was horrible and I burned out midway and just put the game on easy and blasted through it ... Gears 5 is still more of the same, but the variety of locales and better story kind of is holding it up. I still cant believe these fukkers talked about a new enemy type in gears 4 and they were just the same enemies but the caucasian variant lmao.

Do I need Gears 5 to play Hive? or is it a separate download? because I had bought Gears 5 on steam before, but I heard Hive is free on gamepass ... And I installed my steam version to play gears 5 instead of the gamepass version.

ahh i think you are in Act Two. Each Act has several chapters. Act Two is the snowy place, starting in the village. It's my favorite act in the game. And yea, I suffered through Gears 4.

Yea, Coalition are Unreal Engine masters, can't wait to see what they do with UE5. hnggging at the potential increases in geometry/scene density. Hope they do a non-gears project next, but some rumors say they are remaking the original Gears Trilogy.

I'm 80% sure you need to download gears 5 on game pass to play the hivebusters dlc. It's all one package i think.

Machine Games are the ones doing Indiana Jones. And it might be multiplat since MS didn't acquire them until after the Indiana Jones deal was made with Disney. They did Wolfenstein New Order and New Colossus, which use the IDTECH engine. I think Arkane did a lot of the work on Wolfenstein Youngblood.

True. Hell yes. Those rpgs are addictive. Dragon quest snes style 2D graphics > Modern 3D graphics. In dragon quest xi you have the option to play the whole game in one or the other. It can look like fire emblem or more like triangle strategy.
