The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Titan expedition and death

In June 2023, Nargeolet was onboard the Titan, a vessel owned by OceanGate, Inc. to view the Titanic wreckage, when the vessel lost contact with the above-water ship, MV Polar Prince, on 18 June.[5] Search-and-rescue missions involved water and air support from the United States, Canada and France.[12]

On 22 June, after the discovery of a debris field approximately 490 metres (1,600 ft) from the bow of the Titanic,[13] OceanGate said it believed Nargeolet and the four others aboard "have sadly been lost."[14] A United States Coast Guard press conference later confirmed that the debris lined up with a catastrophic loss of the pressure hull.

This has been one of the all time great Misc threads srs. Tons of memes, miscers posting up to date and interesting articles and news, interesting theories and thoughts on the whole thing, backstories of those involved. No incel/SS/baldcel/NEET/wurldstar BS to ruin it. Spent hours reading through it all.
It's hard to even imagine death by implosion like that. A gun shot you can often sense it coming, or you hear it first, or slowly bleed out. Drowning takes minutes. Getting knocked unconscious still doesn't compare if you measured it in milliseconds.
In this case you go from fully conscious and at ease, to completely vaporised so quickly that none of your senses would even begin to send distress signals to your brain before the entire thing is just a red mist.
I wonder if under that scenario the consciousness still remains for a few seconds, or does everything just go black in an instant, and even the realisation that 'everything is going black' isn't even possible. In some ways it's a worse fate than bleeding out or suffocating, because in those situations you can at least accept your fate and try to make peace with it. These dudes didn't even have time to do that.
Hard to comprehend really

So it's been confirmed. Guess I was right all along when I initially assumed it imploded.

Well, it's better than slowly choking to death on curry farts.

U.S. Navy Detected Titan Sub Implosion Days Ago - Wall Street Journal

Underwater microphones designed to detect enemy submarines first detected Titan tragedy

WASHINGTON—A top secret U.S. Navy acoustic detection system designed to spot enemy submarines first heard the Titan sub implosion hours after the submersible began its mission, officials involved in the search said.

The Navy began listening for the Titan almost as soon as the sub lost communications, according to a U.S. defense official. Shortly after its disappearance, the U.S. system detected what it suspected was the sound of an implosion near the debris site discovered Thursday and reported its findings to the commander on site, U.S. defense officials said.

“The U.S. Navy conducted an analysis of acoustic data and detected an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” a senior U.S. Navy official told The Wall Street Journal in a statement. “While not definitive, this information was immediately shared with the Incident Commander to assist with the ongoing search and rescue mission.”

The Navy asked that the specific system used not be named, citing national security concerns.

Yeah it's basically a "phuck around and find out" story.

Jackass CEO was narcissistic as phuck, thought he could revolutionize submarines with some half-assed concept, and wing it with a diversity fresh out of college equity crew.

You're correct, I haven't really even had time to keep with other forum posts trying to keep up with this post. I actually was looking forward to getting up this morning and seeing what kind of entertainment this thread would provide me with today. Imagine what the thread will be like when WWIII breaks out like the movie Red Dawn. BRB gotta go down the block and kill a few Russkies real quick so I can get back to the WWIII thread on the Misc. LOL

Fact is they have so much money that they are bored. Hence why they are associated with so many deviant sexual stories as well.
