Yeah, this is a multi generational loss for both counties, plus it kinda proved what most knew about russia, they're basically an oil company with nukes.

Make no mistake about it, their dead will replaced, just not by anyone who looks like or speaks the languages of those dead and especially the Ukrainians who believe that are fighting to save their country/families, etc, they have no idea of the real war that will be imported by those they died for once this is over.

It's easy to put your own value on what's being accomplished and the cost to decide you're actually winning, but in both cases the iranians and the russians feel they are up against an existential threat. They're more than happy to fight and die to defeat that because they do feel the value is higher than the cost, and placing a lower value on the objective is just low iq cope in either case.

At least our WWII vets came home to a great country and the only one's left are too old to even realize it.

Ukraine's vets are going to come home to dirka dirkas and Patels all over the place lowering wages, taking their jobs, raping their daughters. Russia I don't even know. Life expectancy in Russia is only mid 60's for men so won't impact as much but there have been lots of younger guys killed too.

I think that Vlad messed up in that instead of using his almost freindship status with Trump to leverage, he could have used it in other ways that could have greatly benefitted Russia for the long term. Fact is that all he had to do is really get in good with the US, because when it comes down to it, the UN, NATO, WEF, G7, even the EU for the most part is NOTHING without the US. I'll even argue that China, depends on the US to buy so much of their goods, China aint' chit without the US being the largest consumer market in the world. 1/3rd of the consumer market is the US. Trump gave him so much opportunity but he just doubles down on BS that really doesnt work.

Life expectancy in Russia on average is 70ish for men and 79 on average for females... Compared to the U.S. average of 76 for men and 81 for females. Overall, nothing too big of a difference, it's about 5 years difference on average for men, and 2.5ish years for females.. This isn't the 90s Russia

And you talk as if Ukraine isn't a U.S. proxy starting many years ago that forced a coup and started the civil war in Donbass that led to this current war between the two countries. This war is exactly what those in Washington DC wanted. From Russia's POV, Putin didn't have a choice. Where Putin messed up was in waiting too long before truly intervening; he should have invaded back in 2014 and then could have easily avoided this prolonged conflict. He bought into the hopes that U.S./NATO wanted diplomacy, when what they really wanted was his collapse and to bring Russia back to how it was in the 1990s.

I’m not American but Iraq and Afghanistan while expensive and resulted in loss of life, the effects didn’t really spread globally. With Iran it does as it has something BETTER than a nuclear bomb and that’s control of the Strait of Hormuz. The US can only achieve so much with an air campaign, unless there’s boots on the ground they will open and close it at their will. Don’t for a second think the Americans can dictate this no matter how much $$$$ they spend on air raids as most of the anti ship weaponry is under ground
