Different branches have different age limits, I think enlisted vs officer also has different age limits.
I think age limit for an officer in the Air Force is like 35, sounds old but a lot of officers in the Air Force focus more on organization, paperwork, management, etc.

Not saying it's SUPER easy to get into military as an officer, but the fact that your degree is in liberal arts doesn't instantly make it impossible to get accepted.
Father-in-law has a bachelors in Philosophy from Tulane.
He went in for 6-8 years or so, went back and got his masters degree, forced retirement at 50 years old at rank O6 after serving like 24 years. He gets ~60% of his base pay for the rest of his life.
BRB guy is grossing like $6,000K/month hanging out smoking cigars all day after serving his time.


You already have the degree, if you're that bored/upset with your life at the moment I would at LEAST go talk to a recruiter.
See what the possibilities are, would they help with paying off your student loans, what types of careers are they looking for at the moment, etc.
It's not a for sure thing, but you don't have anything to lose just talking to a recruiter.
The military direction is a really great way to go for anyone with a college degree that's not happy with their degree, or want to go a different direction.

I have a few friends in the Navy/Air Force that are officers, got degrees in finance, accounting, etc. Then decided that they didn't want to go that route.

Go to graduate school.
Go teach English overseas and work on self teaching programming or something while you're over there.
Apply to government jobs and work your way up.
Just think of a job you want and build a portfolio and skills to get there.
Brother had a Biochem degree and changed his mind. Passed the CPA exam, did some required courses at a local cc, and then enrolled into an MBA or masters in accounting graduate program(forgot which one). Now working as an accountant.

It's really not that serious. Just figure out what you want to do. Then figure out the steps to get there. Write it down. And accomplish each step one by one. You being 30 doesn't mean anything. America is the land of being able to fuk up and still be alright.

This, 30 really ISN'T that big of a deal...you're not as old as you probably think you are, or as old as you feel.
Even if your goal DOES take you 5-6 years to get, so what? What are you doing for the next 5 years that's so tough to work around?
You could change your entire life in the next few years.

Find a goal, or maybe 1-2 serious directions you could take.
Make a list of pros and cons of just staying where you're atnowversus fighting towards those goals.

don't they have career workshops in university and chit. not sure how people go through university not having a career in mind. i mean why go through university at all if you don't have a career goal.

I had 40k student loan, did geology degree, earning 90k first graduated, paid off loan, went back did masters, then PhD and still have enough savings left to put deposit on a house if I wanted.

I always laugh when I see noobs doing arts degrees or psychology but with no plans to do a graduate degree. So many retards about.

Pick something you can get good at and do it. I'm not talking the emotional "i'm meant to do this" angle. You're obviously just looking for a way out of financial ruin.

All I'm saying is when you pick what you try to do next, make sure you don't pick something randomly like "coding". Pick something you think you have some practical talent for, so you actually excel instead of just trucking along.

Set yourself up for success, come on bro you're a grown ass man, put some thinking into this and try to position yourself to win, not make dumb as fk decisions without research.

Most these positions don't even care what you graduated in
