There's a long list of republicans who don't like Trump, fair to say even if Trump didn't destroy JEB they'd still join Romney, McCain and others in not backing Trump

There is no logical, intelligent argument anyone can make to support Trump for president.
People like him because only because he's entertaining. His entire candidacy has been centered around racism, indecisiveness and maximal self empowerment (I mean seriously, he's running for 'President')

He has absolutely no qualifications for the position. He cares absolutely nothing about the country as a whole. But for some reason, a large portion of Americans 'believe' (not understand, know, or can prove with data) that somehow this 'immigration issue' is the biggest problem we have today. Not even close. Regardless, this idea has developed into a herd mentality that he exploits to its fullest extent whilst repeatedly abusingad hocfallacies to attack other candidates. It's almost like he's coerced (through entertainment) a group of conservative cattle into doing his bidding.

I mean seriously,
1. He stated Bernie was the only one alive during World War II, and that if it was him - he would have stopped Hitler. (Seriously, what the actual fk?)
2. That Ted Cruz grandfather (I think it was) was responsible for assassinating Kennedy based solely on a picture of him and Oswald haven been taken (Really, I'm at complete disbelief at how this could even apply to anything)

Hillary is even worse.

This year's my first year I'm able to vote. I'll choose to sit at home since I've been left with two terrible choices due to lack of information, intellect or ability to critically think by those whose decisions have resulted in this.

I am Canadian. Have moved here > 10 years ago because of family's involvement in the chemical engineering industry (became a dual citizen this year). Texas is heavily conservative, yet I don't agree with a lot of my peers on a large number of issues.
Regardless, I can deduce the problems and critically think through to what the outcome would be (it's surprising to see how few people can do this) .

I will be clear about one thing: anyone I've heard speaking towards or supporting Trump - I've not yet heard a single logical statement to support the cause.

At the moment I'm rather in complete disbelief in this resulting outcome in terms of the choices we've been left with.

A bunch of pretentious old men playing at running the world. But the world left them behind long ago. We are the future. Aquinas spoke of the mythical City on the Hill. Soon that city will be a reality, and we will be crowned its kings. Or better than kings. Gods.

Yeah I agree with you, this election completely blows. I hate Hillary too in light of her past, which makes me think of her as nothing more than a deceitful snake. Nevertheless, those die-hard Trump supporters are completely delusional and there is a profound difference between ardently supporting Trump and conceding that both candidates are horrible.

Doesn't matter for me though, my state is going to vote Democrat regardless of my vote, so I might actually spare the cringeworthy experience of voting for a **** candidate altogether.

Reports from people who have worked close to Tump generally say he is a great person, while all reports I hear about people who worked close to Hillary is that she is a raging c-word. You have no logical basis for claiming he does not care for America, but you claim to know what is in a persons heart? where is the logic in that.

the most logical reason for choosing Trump at this point is that he is not Hillary.

#1: 'At this point' is exactly the problem. It should never have come to 'this point'. There are two TERRIBLE candidates who are potentially the next most powerful people in the world.
#2: there is no logic to presume that Trump would ever treat you the same as he does those close to him. He clearly lacks logic and attacks others directly. Nevertheless, it is true he has a better personal reputation than Hilary does to those who know her closely. Regardless, he is not one who's displayed what skills are necessary to run a country. When it comes to presidential elections it's often assumed that whoever wins 'has shown' these skills rather than the general populace presuming that he has them hidden somewhere, ready to display once he's elected.

He's insulted the other candidates on stage to get ahead. Looking to the future (considering he claims the presidency in the end) what potential consequences do you foresee happening if he should bring his such brazen attitude and vulgar language to the table while addressing and conversing with leaders of other countries?

You've officially addressed only 2 of the other initial candidates. I'm going to assume that you have no comment on the (potentially much better, yet we'll never know) others.
He wrecked Jeb? Yes, most likely through ad hoc fallacious insults. I don't know though - I'm busy studying medicine and after the first debate, I didn't bother watching the rest. Yet, he possesses no logic and thus I see no reason to assume otherwise.

Your statement has displayed a classic example of 'Trump logic' that I've for a long time tried to relate to and understand - yet remain unable to do so.

LOL if you think everything Trump said from until now mattered. Look at the video above.

He will change his platform and show his real solutions and will win the minority votes. he's a good strategist. He came in the race as a joke and took out all the serious candidates out perfectly.

Trump is the lesser of two evils.

That's not to imply that it's a close contest. I could give you 100 reasons why Hillary should be in prison instead of the Oval Office.

Trump's not even in her league when it comes to being unfit for office.

Still, as a principled conservative, I expect that Trump will disappoint me if he gets elected. I don't think he really holds the constitution in the same regard that I do. I don't think he sees the social fabric of our country under the attacks that i do. I don't think he sees the crony capitalism of big corporations corrupting every branch of our government to the same extent that I do. I have many more concerns about Trump. However, with Trump there is a chance that if he surrounds himself with principled conservatives, we can start to rollback some of the damage done during the past 8 years. That hope does not exist with Hillary. Hillary in the Oval Office is a precursor to civil war. It could take years to erupt, but her policies would put us on a path to violence in the streets. All indications are that she intends to pander to the gun grabbers and the last time a governing authority tried to confiscate the weapons of our citizens, we made our feelings known at Lexington and Concord. Gun confiscation is the fantasy of every wannabe totalitarian/fascist because they know that a citizenry that cannot defend itself, is a citizenry that cannot ever depose them from power. That is why the left is so determined to disarm the US population. They want perpetual power. They want a dictatorship with themselves in control. Hillary will try this in a very ham-fisted way. It will sow the seeds of civil war. I'm sure of that.

'LOL'?

You're missing the entire point.
When it comes down to Trump vs Hilary - does it even matter?
Both are terrible choices.
He was not even supposed to get this far and yet he did.

When there's only two candidates to vote for, and the other is currently being 'investigated' for treason (or w/e is going on currently because of her emails) - do you really think he needs 'real solutions' to gain a minority vote?

Come on dude...

You're absolutely right in the sense that he's deviated from conservative values. Really, I'm all for conservative president - but he's taken it to a completely different level.
And hey - I'm with you in the hopes of what to come when he's surrounded by other principled conservatives. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed.

Although - your statement about gun control is somewhat hard to follow. A population with legal weaponry could do very little against a government with the strongest military in the world.
Knowing military personnel personally (whom I have great respect for) - there is absolutely no way or form I can foresee a government being able to get them to march on Americans in an attempt to forcefully overpower individuals and families much like their own.

Regardless, the gun debate is a large ethical issue - I agree. I have no strong stance on it and do note important points addressed by both sides. Regardless, I have noticed that the media frequently distorts 'better gun control' for 'taking guns away'. This is really quite disappointing. Personally, I see it as misinformation and a fallacious appeal to emotion in terms of American personal values.

Of course Trump wasn't going to be publicly supported by these people.

That leaves one person basing his opinion on his actual beliefs, not loyalty.
