Metallica for their Death Magnetic tour was probably the most fun I've ever had at a concert, had incredibly good seats.

The most overall tight performances I've ever seen were Dream Theater a few years back and Bullet for My Valentine just this year. DT is my favorite band and John Petrucci is incredible. BFMV had a fill in drummer because their regular's wife was in labor... they surprised me the most of any band.

Bruce Springsteen, Boston, Drake, Joe Satriani, Itzhak Perlman, Alison Krauss are also great performances I've seen. I have a pretty wide variety of music tastes

badass man, did dream theater have portnoy drumming when you saw them?

also bullet for my valentine really surprised me, I hadn't really listened to them before seeing them open up for lamb of god last year and they were way heavier than I expected. Also I had no idea they were british ha

Background Story: My brother and I are HUGE Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam, no allah-snackbar) fans. We always said if he came to Australia we would go anywhere to see him.

Well, he came to our home city. We jumped on eBay and bought $400 front row tickets, they turned out to be 2/3 best seats in the entire theatre (front row, centre). Was fuking buriful, will never forget that concert.

Mates and I went to a KOL concert for something to do, it was terrible. The crowd was as boring as bat chit.

I got to see Prince last October at Paisley Park. It was unreal. He played from like 10PM to 3:30 in the morning and he was pretty much on stage for most of the night.

I did a studio tour and he was back by the console chilling with Judith Hill. He talked to us for a bit, but no one knew what to say as we were all stunned. I later got to meet him briefly in the crowd as he was trying to make his way to the stage and it blew my mind.

Holy chit.

Jan 1, 2000 Y2K. End of the world tour. Metallica, Ramstein, Kid Rock and Slipknot in Cleveland with my best buds. Show was nuts. Second was Tenacious D and Weezer or Chevelle, Incubus and Sevendust. Best single performance was Paul Rogers doing Bad company solo. Greatest all time honestly has to be Pantera right before Dime died. RIP

Oh, an honorable mention would be Texas hippie coalition at the red rock in denver. They tore the house down and when we are walking back to my dad's truck we saw them in this alley behind a restaurant drinking beers. Had a couple with them and went home

That ozzfest lineup is sick, one year after Pantera played I believe-a band I wish I could have witnessed.

Godsmack is on my list to see for sure.

So many I can't remember some but here's a few that were great.

Lolapalooza 1992 - Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ministry, and RHCP. We drank a ton all day / night and then burned the fence down during RHCP.

Metallica - went to 10+ of their shows but one that stands out was I think 1993 or 1994. It was with Suicidal Tendencies and Danzig. It was general admission and I was able to get to the 1st row. I ended up getting a drumstick from Lars and a pick from James.

Guns and Roses and Metallica - 1993...nuff said

NIN - 2014 - I had chitty nosebleed seats but for whatever random reason, the security came up to me and upgraded me to 2nd row.

Pearl Jam - 1992 I got tickets for $4, it was right when they were starting to get big and were on SNL the next night.
