I don't know where you miscers are getting your information from. Islam is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic religion. Saying that anyone Muslim is responsible for another is simply bigoted and ridiculous. Show me your sources on where the Quran exactly says to murder infidels without cause that aren't pulled out of context. Any abrahamic religion could be subject to the same scrutiny. The vast majority of muslims practice in peace and are law-abiding who practice with good intentions and focus on the positive aspects of Islam. Every country has issues be it 3rd world or 1st world. Less than 20% of all Muslims are "middle eastern" by definition and <.01% of those are confined to militant groups like ISIS yet theentire religion is judged by ****faces who clearly don't practice Islam. You'd be surprised how much of it was due to slavery and exploitation. France, Belgium, UK all got enormously wealthy and powerful primarily due to their exploitation in colonization and conquest. The modern value today of what was stolen in labor and resources would probably be in multiple trillions.

It's not only slavery. The US in particular has done well for a few simple reasons:
1) A relatively free government with free enterprise historically
2) A huge abundance of land and resources here
3) Being really far away from everybody else and thus, being relatively isolated from warfare

No. He was atheist and faced an existential crisis. We both kind of did. But he read up on religion, and where I saw lies, he saw truth and opportunity. He said when reading about Islam, it "felt right". He went to a mosque, learned more about their faith and decided it was for him. He seemed inspired by Mohammed's story. I was quick to point out Mohammed diddled a 9 year old, and he told me they think they consummated the marriage when she was 12. I said "wow so much better", and he just told me it was a different time back then. I don't accept Mohammed as a prophet, and I consider Islam to be among the worst religions. It took me a long time to accept my brother for his religion, but I eventually did. He's my brother and a good man. I'm proud of him, and Islam had had a good influence on his life.

lolol no...he knows I am the type of person that it is hard to win an argument with...to convert me, he would have to prove to me his god exists. He knows he can't do that. If anything, I attacked him constantly and tried to convert him to atheism. Eventually, I realized I was only hurting him and that Islam was good for him. Took me a long time to realize that while my idea wasn't wrong, my actions were. The entire point of being an American is to learn to coexist with other faiths and ideas. It inspired him to do good things. He says Allah commands to serve and help others. The rigid discipline in Islam has given him a kind of rubric to develop a strong work ethic.
