Get a clarisonic Mia and Mario badescu enzyme cleansing gel srs.

Deep clean your face twice a day. Get a moisturizer from jack black or Mario.

Drink plenty of water
Don't shave
Keep linens clean
Stop touching face

That's all you need
Look, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. that's hormonal acne. accutane, or panothenic acid w/zinc can only fix that. everything else will either have you break out even more, if it's topical, you need to clean from inside out.

get on accutane bro.. wtf.. most effective treatment out there.. my friend had something similar and he went through all those "regimental alternatives" non are effective for treating cystic acne bro... side effects are terrible, but that's probably mostly cause people go on it for too long.. still would rather have attractive skin

fortunately i dont have any carried side effects.. older guy i know , has constantly dry lips from it though.

You can try antibiotics first, and then accutane. Antibiotics worked really well on me when I had acne but sadly i had some allergic reactions so I had to stop. Then I took accutane(15 years old) and acne was completely gone till like 19-20 when I relapsed and got some acne on back/shoulders/chest. This time there were like no cysts, just small pimples and hopefully almost non in my face, it was just body acne, so I didnt even go for a second cycle of accutane. 4-5 years later acne was gone from shoulders/chest too and from then onwards I only get some pimples on upper back which really is not even noticeable. Whatever u decide, do it fast cuz scars will multiply.

why don't you see dermatologist.

you clearly not listening to anyone reply expect that guy that had every side effect to accutane.

they could start you on low dose 5-10mg/day

you won't know how you respond until they do blood tests

I have moderate acne too and just got prescribed generic retin a and some sulfur face wash. In 3 months I go back and ill get accutane if it hasn't improved.

I feel like it's going to help but I still really want accutane because accutane actually cures it. All of this medication just works temporarily.

Best of luck to you man it has killed my confidence too. I feel I will be so much happier if I can get rid of this acne. Been going on since I was 15.

This is what my ******* dermatologist made me do and it didnt do very much. 10mg is not enough. For me it was 30mg or gtfo.

Scarring is the worst man. I have 20-25 dime sized RAISED up hypertrophic scars over my shoulders and delts. It's literally the worst thing ever, and it looks horrible. Seriously google image search it. My whole back is fcked up, I wish I had taken accutane or something to stop it from happening. I was like 13 when they popped up.

Save yourself boyo. Dont be like me. There's no cure for scars, you just gotta live with it.

I have the same thing.
there is stuff you can do to reduce the appearance of scars but it would most likely cost a fuk load.

You should get some low-level BHA exfolient, and yeah, you need a retinol of some sort - maybe not accutane but definitely prescription strength

It all depends on individual. Took long time for me to get approved.

I did 20mg/day.

No fruit? 1 vegetable?

I've never had an acne problem and would get some pimples on my forehead but ever since I took animal products out of my diet and started eating a lot more fruit and veg my face has never been clearer (except before 12).

How's your sleep? I'd randomly get pimples and breakouts if I wasnt getting enough sleep as well.

Get on retinoids if you can't go with accutane. A retinoid called Adapalene cleared my skin after 3 months. I actually buy it from an Indian online pharmacy as it is incredibly cheap - it's made by the same company, India is just cheap.

Most of the people that complain about side effects on accutane were on the very high doses which used to be prescribed, current treatment is usually much lower dose but for a longer period.

On 40mg/day I lift just the same and the only side effect is slightly dry lips and need to make sure I wear sunscreen if I stay outside for ages on a blazing hot day. I hardly notice taking it at all.

The acne.org regiment might be working and you're in the purging phase. Everything that works seems to cause purging including accutane.

At least get accutane to keep on hand though and if this continues then get on it. Don't dick around with derms until they prescribe it. Run moderate dosage.

Chemical peels are worth looking into as well. Salicylic acid for acne. Glycolic for post-acne brown spots.
Most Underrated Exercise: Barbell Hack Squats.

There are procedures that can be done, although they take time. Steroid injections to flatten the scars, then laser to remove redness is probably the best and most complete way.

Have you heard of silicone scar sheets? I know for a fact that they work as I have used them on a hypertrophic scar (on my leg) with good results. Takes ~6 months of constant use, but results are amazing and it is non invasive and cheap.

diet will not fix it, it may reduce it slightly.

change your pillow sheets every few days.

Ask your derm for zineryt lotion (use in the AM) and retin-a (use in the PM). Get on some antibiotics. If you don't see an improvement after 3 months, get on accutane but start at a very low dose for the first few weeks, 10mg or less, even if you get prescribed more.

Going to my doctor this week and telling that sloot to prescribe me some accutane.

Not gonna bother with antibiotics again cause I tried them before and they didn't help, if anything they just created super resistant acne.

Time to finally try to get my face cleared.

Although I am still considering buying some vitamins and continuing taking zinc after accutane to keep my face clear. I'll post progress pics here

accutane
don't listen to people in this thread who say you need to wash your face or stop stressing/change your diet, they are guys who casually get a pimple every now and then who have never had to deal with truly bad acne. good luck op
