Its funny when people say people should know better in a fight. As if there are morals and respect in fighting when its as clear as night and day that there are no rules in a fight other than consequences. I guess she should have just known better and let the other person keep hitting her right and taken damage?

Theres only one thing gonna happen: its you or them. How do you know if she didnt armbar her or choke her out that the other girl wouldnt have knocked her out? The outcome was in her favor for knowing martial arts

True story:

When I was a freshman in HS we used to have to wait at the nearby park to catch the bus home.

There was a slide that we all used to piss down ( I don't think kids even used the park boyo)

Anyways I saw some kid get choked out in a sleeper and then when he woke up he was running around in circles in a stupor for a few seconds.

While in this stupor for some reason he put his hand on the piss slide and then in his mouth.

Was hilarious.

youre being biased because youre misinterpreting half of what i said and simply ignoring the other half.
im not being biased at all. im being realistic.
first of all i never said ONLY knowing bjj is the solution to gang fights, and i dont think that.
of course striking is awesome, and stand up.
but back to what you said, yes, without a doubt if you got knocked down or something in a fight and some guys run in kicking you and stuff, knowing bjj would 100% be better for you than not.
when you start bjj in sparring you have absolutely no idea what is going on around you and roll into other people, walls, etc... after you get used to it you become more spatially aware of whats going on around you. you are more likely to notice whats happening as they run in and at least have a chance of blocking of defending whats coming (even though it might not help much it could make a big difference in the outcome).

also, in bjj there are lots of drills and exercises, such as youre on your back and your training partner is standing up in front of you. he then has to try and run around you past your legs, while you have to move around on your back to stay facing him. he will change direction sharply and try to trick you etc while you are moving. if youre good at this you will have the skill of being able to move around freely on your back and put your legs between you and your attackers which is a huge defense.

remember, most untrained people dont even know how to fuking STAND UP.
if someone untrained fell down in a fight and tried to stand up, they would probably be wide open for a boot in the face.
now heres how a bjj fighter stands up.

if you go back and read what i said, it wasnt that bjj is some magic, all i said that knowing bjj will without a doubt be better than not knowing bjj in a fight (people jumping in or not). how can you even try to dispute that!

also, do you know what knee on belly is? do you know why is it suggested as a top position in a street fight?
can you comprehend that just as you are aware of the realities of street fights, that surely some people that train fighting might also be?

i think that you have something against bjj and thats why youre blinded and just replying to what you wish i said, instead of what im actually saying, which isnt far fetched bs its just reality
