No mention whatsoever of people who are buying houses like fukkin walmart jeans every damn day and renting it out to make enough money to drive lambos for life.
But no, middle class canadians are the problem.
They are calling this a stress test. Might as well call it a 'not a rich asian' test.

They can't blame themselves because they know they fuked up big time and it would make the government look completely incompetent. They can't blame or take effective action on foreign investors because it would be too big of a blow to the economy. So they blame it on Canadians because it's the easy way out.
It's like being in one massive Chinese fingertrap.
Truly cucked lol.

Every good house in a good area gets easily 20k+ of asking price. Just cannot win unless u have a lot of money to bid. Dont think ill be able to buy a decent house here unless i have like 700k. Only hope is to move further away or to a cheap state.
Keep your chin up dude you're already doing a HUGE thing for your parents. They will understand if you tell them. There's going to be another chance to lock down a place. 100%.
Keep doing what you're doing.

Tried living in LA. Either I'm sharing living room spaces to afford a place or paying a ridiculous amount to have my own place.
I paid $3000 just to stay one month in a house in Hollywood Hills. I thought it was a rip off, but when I told other people, they said I got a good deal. Even without seeing the house, just mentioning I was renting a "house" was like a big wow factor to them. Either it was house or Hollywood Hills or "house in Hollywood Hills".
But Hollywood Hills houses are old, crummy roads, yet it's an elitist area. And I was living in like a 2000 sq ft house, it wasn't spectacular, it had a view, but it was still ****ing expensive.
And the actual people kinda gave me a deal since they were on tour. And even though I paid them $3k they wanted me to replace their ****ty walmart pans they accused me of burning. Like wow, WTF, you live in Hollywood Hills and you care about burnt cheap pans not from a bountique shop? I assume if you are going to splurge on Hollywood Hills you should be willing to have nicer stuff.

Seems to be the norm here in canada now SMH...
Vancouver is redic though a condo that's listed at 1M is sold for 1.2-1.3M easily..
New laws coming in to affect here though should see our market slow down which is good.. but bad also as it targets first time home buyers and not just the "foreign students" who can afford 31m homes with no income aka laundering daddys money...
Im happy getting into the market here a few years ago but the struggle is real who can afford 700k for a 500-650 sqft apartment?

My buddy just sold his house that he bought for 229k 9 years ago. Sold for 492k just last week. The best part is his listing price was 410k, had 8 bidders. None of them brought a inspector or anything... Needs a new roof and unfinished basement... 3bedroom. Hamilton is straight up fuked right now.

Finally was able to lock down a motherfukking house. This one is in much older, worse shape, has some mold in the attic. I put conditions of home inspection and mold removal. Also house was listed at 420k i offer 415k because of the mold. Offer was accepted.
Gonna get my boyos down there and get to work. The basement and bathrooms are gonna be my biggest projects. Wanna get this chit done before christmas so my parents can celebrate in new house.
